Very good location, a few minutes walk to the Asakusa subway station, around the 24 hour convenience stores and restaurants, BEN is a very friendly owner,The room hot water and toilet is very good. The kitchen and washing machine provides great convenience to us, I'm very sorry my daughter broke a cup. Thank you for your forgiveness.
We loved our stay at Retro Tokyo. I was visiting Tokyo for the first time with my two boys and the apartment was absolutely perfect. It's in a wonderful area, very quiet at night. Ben couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. We are looking forward to returning. Thanks Ben!
The apartment was great—cheery, clean and roomy. We loved the neighborhood. Just a walk across the red bridge and we were in Asakusa, our favorite neighborhood in Tokyo.
All our meals were made in the apartment. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to cook our food.
Our four-night stay at Retro Tokyo, before we left Japan at the end of our glorious trip, was a perfect send-off.
Clean and all self sufficient, 10 minutes to Asakusa station. Flexible host and a great communicator. What more can I ask for.
Bumped into a couple of neighbors and they are so nice and helpful. Everyone is friendly!
The Tokyo Sytree is within a nice 20 minutes walk. The Tokyo bananas are a must to buy for your friend and families at home.
One big thing i don;t see anyone mentioning about this apartment is that the train station a couple of minutes walk from the apartment whisk you directly to Narita at a significantly cheap price.
Had a wonderful time. The apartment was exactly as described. The location was perfect. Ben, Marek and Miyuki were very gracious and helpful. Highly recommend this place.
Nice room, 5 mins walk to Toei Asakusa or Ginza line station. Wake up to a view of SkyTree. What more can I ask for!!
Our family (including kids aged 3 and 5) had an amazing stay at Retro Tokyo. The hosts, Ben and Miyuki, have thought of everything and have really taken all the extra little steps to make a stay in this apartment comfortable and enjoyable.
The apartment is not very big but the space is cleverly used and we felt very comfortable there. There is a washing machine and clothes rack, TV, DVD player and a thoughtful collection of DVDs, some books and magazines and even colouring books and crayons for the kids. The kitchen is well equipped and there were some condiments for our use in the fridge when we arrived.
Retro Tokyo is also in a great location. We walked to the Sky Tree through interesting neighbourhoods; we were across the bridge from a great shopping and eating district in Asakusa; and the apartment is across the road from a convenience store and bakery.
We would recommend this as a great place to stay and would not hesitate to stay here again if we are lucky enough to return to Tokyo.
My family and I had a very comfortable week at the Retro Modern Apt in Central Tokyo. It was extremely convenient to lots of great Tokyo sightseeing spots. Ben and his staff tried very hard to make sure we were comfortable and were friendly and easily accessible
We had a little problem with the internet but they got right on it and it was fixed quickly.
This is the second of Ben's properties I stayed in and again, I would highly recommend him for an easy, convenient and comfortable "home away from home."
The apartment was great! We had a very comfortable stay, and there was everything we needed. And the location was very good. It was great to know we have a home in tokyo. We will recommend this apartment to every one who plans a trip to tokyo!
