The space
Classic Altbau apartment in Berlin’s Schöneberg district, built in 1903 with high ceilings, wooden floors, and double windows. A pleasant blend of Berlin history and modern comfort.

Located in Rote Insel, one of Schöneberg’s most charming residential neighborhoods, known for its local cafés, independent shops, and relaxed atmosphere.

Your private room:

A quiet and comfortable space featuring a Queen-size bed and blackout curtains. Includes a work desk and storage shelves. Tea, coffee, and a kettle are provided.

A welcome folder includes a detailed neighborhood map with my favorite local cafés, bars, and shops.

The Wi-Fi is fast and reliable.

Bathroom:

Shared, but always clean, tidy, and clutter-free. Towels, shampoo, body wash, and a hairdryer are provided.

Kitchen:

Guests are welcome to use the fridge, microwave, toaster, and utensils for light snacks and simple food preparation. Please note that the stove and oven are not available for use.

Please note that overnight guests are not allowed.

Privacy and Respect:

As an experienced host, I value privacy and mutual respect. Guests can enjoy their own space in a calm home.

As with most historic buildings, some sound can travel, so please bring earplugs if you are an especially light sleeper.

I live alone in the apartment. From time to time, another bedroom may be occupied by a quiet visitor or family member, always discreet and respectful.

Arrival and Communication:

Check-in is flexible from 3 PM (4 PM on Saturdays), and late evening arrivals are welcome—just let me know your estimated arrival time.

Instant booking is enabled, but a short message before reserving is appreciated.

I communicate through the Airbnb chat and will answer your questions promptly :)

Neighborhood highlights

The neighborhood is truly special. I fell in love with it the very first time I discovered it, and many years later I still feel lucky to call it home.

Schöneberg offers the perfect balance between peaceful residential life and the energy of the city. The apartment is located on a quiet, tree-lined street, overlooked by the impressive Gasometer, one of Berlin's most recognizable landmarks.

Just a few minutes away, however, the neighborhood comes alive with cafés, restaurants, bars, galleries, local markets and independent shops. Everything you need is within walking distance.

Despite its relaxed atmosphere, Schöneberg is extremely well connected. Potsdamer Platz is only four S-Bahn stops away, and many of Berlin's main attractions can be reached within minutes by public transport or bicycle.

One of the things I love most about the area is how green it feels. Trees line the streets, small parks are never far away, and even in the heart of the city there is a sense of space and calm.

For me, Schöneberg is one of Berlin's most beautiful neighborhoods: welcoming, lively, open-minded and full of character. It has long attracted artists, writers and creative minds — David Bowie lived here, and the area still retains a unique atmosphere that many visitors quickly fall in love with.
Here, John Fitzgerald Kennedy once said: "I am a Berliner!".
