Cute, cozy 1 BR on tree-lined street. Easy walk to Barclay's Center, BAM, Fort Greene Park, the restaurants + bars on Smith Street, and nearly all trains. On 4th/top floor. Bed is firm w/memory foam top. Lots of light. Separate kitchen +LR. Proper bathtub.
My block is a leafy brownstone block, and yet it is within walking distance of everything that's best about Brooklyn--BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music, which has great theater and NYC's best movie theater); the restaurants and bars on Smith Street; Fort Greene park. It's also within walking distance of Barclay's Center (stadiums are not my thing maybe they're yours!), the Target Mall, and a fancy neighborhood grocery store--or Trader Joe's, if you prefer, which I do!
It would truly be difficult to find a more convenient location in Brooklyn or Manhattan when it comes to proximity to subway stops. You're almost exactly a block from the A/C and G; a few short blocks from the 2/3, 4/5, Q, N/R, not far from the Atlantic Mall stop (where there is a B/D/M). The F is not super-close, but you can walk there too.
There are no pets in the building and smoking is not allowed in the building either. Fair warning: The apartment is on the fourth floor and it's walk-up. That doesn't bother me, but it might bother you! Also, the wifi can be slow. And the building heat has been good so far this winter (2013) but it's been not so great in the past.

Maura's place is really amazing. Silent and cozy, and still accessible to so much. With all the noise in the City, it's nice to have a whole place to come to and entertain and relax. Maura is a great person to chat with, and takes care to ensure a comfortable stay. I recommend it.
You can't beat this location. A block from the Hoyt-Schermerhorn subway stop makes access to Manhattan and other parts of Brooklyn a breeze. Plenty of places to eat and hang out. Not far from Brooklyn Fare, for grocery shopping. Maura was great. She emailed me before I arrived and had coffee and OJ in the fridge for my first couple mornings! The apartment was exactly what I needed. The perfect size for 1 person, or a couple. The building is older, and there were a few areas that needed a little paint and touching up, but I was quite comfortable. The only drawback I had was that wifi service was a bit dodgy.
Mauras apt. is big, bright, and very cozy. The location is perfect, near almost all the trains you can think of in Brooklyn and with a lot of nice restaurants around. Maura herself was always quick in responding, very nice and always helpful. Except for the unstable internet connection I really can recommend Mauras apt to everyone.
