Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • The host was super easy to work with and the place was really cute! I would suggest having a car if you stay here, though, as it's about a 20-30 minute walk to downtown Austin (we didn't mind walking, but having a car was ideal). The place was nice and clean, but we did have some connectivity issues with the internet. No iron, either, but that's not a deal breaker! Really great place overall!

  • Great place

  • The guest house was pretty amazing, clean, quiet, within walking distance or a short card ride of major attractions. First time using Airbnb and after this experience I would definitely book this guest house again.

  • What a great find! I was happy to call this place home for four nights. While it's maybe a bit far off the beaten bath for those without a car or bike, it was warm enough to walk the 30 minutes into town without much issue. The closest bike share is about a 20 minute walk. The 21 bus line is right outside of the door also makes it very easy to travel into downtown. Very quiet, clean and spacious! Jeany has also provided great amenities such as great towels and cups and odds and ends. So helpful! Would stay here again!

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jeany's guest house. Jeany was very accomodating to us checking in late and she even provided a hair dryer when we requested one. She responded to all of our emails in a timely manner.

The room was perfect. It was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable, and we appreciated having a full kitchen. The guest house also had a good air conditioner which is very important for any place in Austin. The only possible critique someone could have would be that the wireless was a bit slow, although it didn't bother us.

The location was great! The neighborhood was quiet and safe. We were very close to downtown and only a short drive away from HEB (a grocery store).

Staying at this guest house definitely helped make our trip to Austin an amazing one. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. It's an incredible value.

  • We had a wonderful experience with the guest house in east austin! We had to check in late but Jeany made this process seamless for us. The room was immaculate and well stocked with essentials. Thanks for all!

  • Jeany was a great communicator, and even allowed me to check and out outside the normal times to accommodate my schedule. Super happy with the experience. The place is adorable and spacious and so much better than a hotel!

We ended up walking downtown a couple times because cabs weren't available nearby, but SXSW was going on. Getting one back was fine. The walk was a little over 30 minutes, which wasn't bad given to cooler weather. There is a bus line right outside, but we never managed to take it.

    March 2014
  • The guest house was very comfortable and extremely clean. We stayed here for 7 days during SXSW and it was nice to go back somewhere that felt homey. The area (Holly) is pretty quiet too, far enough away from the downtown chaos, but close enough that you can walk in. There isn't much in the neighborhood, but it's only about a 20-25 min. walk downtown and Rainey St. We had a couple of issues with the Wi-Fi but Jeany is super quick to respond and help. Also, bonus: two of the mornings one of her pugs welcomed us at the door when we were leaving!

    March 2014
  • Jeany's apartment was perfectly clean, newly renovated, and extremely convenient to all areas of Austin. We had a couple of issues, which Jeany resolved quickly. If we visit Austin again, we would certainly stay here again.

    March 2014
  • This was a great place! Super clean, conveniently located to many great bars and restaurants in Austin and very comfortable! Jeany was very responsive and everything was super easy. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay there again!

I love visiting National Parks and am a huge fan of oysters. I've lived in Austin, TX since August 1996, and I think this is a super place to be and visit! The Tejano Walking Trails in our neighborhood has been designated as a National Recreation Trail by the US National Park Service!
