I stayed at Rikos for a start of a west coast road trip and it was a perfect place to rest and relax. Quiet neighborhood but close to restaurants and bars. I would definitely stay here again!
Riko responded to my email(s) quickly, and the house was just as described. This was my first airbnb booking and we were very happy with the amount of space and the condition of the home. My only regret was that we couldn't stay an extra night! Very comfortable! Thanks Riko - for making our first visit to Portland so wonderful!
Thanks Sarah for a great review! I will add here your other review you shared with me. Thought it will be a good information for my future guests. “We absolutely loved the gas fireplace and relaxing in the hammock on the little side porch. Very quiet neighbourhood, but close to transit and walkable to the rose gardens and a nice cafe and market. Lovely private backyard. Definitely a plus to have wifi, as coming from Canada we were trying not to use our data plan.”
Riko made us feel warmly welcomed and helped us when we needed. She's very sweet and kind. We like her very much!
Riko has such a lovely house! We were warmly welcomed by the flowers in frount of the door, and it was such a beautiful place. My friend and my family in total of 6 people lived there and all of us love the place.
The listing was just as described. The home was very nice and we felt comfortable. Riko was very accommodating when we wanted to drop our bags off earlier than check in. She was quick to respond to questions and we had no trouble. The neighborhood was just gorgeous with tons of trees and flowers in bloom. Having a car really helped us get to all of the places we wanted to see. We would definitely recommend Riko to friends.
The house was charming and clean and just as described. There are also beautiful and cozy front and back yards with plenty of room to sit and appreciate the day. While Portland is easy to get around in, the neighborhood was a bit further from downtown than I would have preferred, but the public trans is good regardless. Riko was attentive and available. Zero complaints!
Thank you Penelope! The distance is so relative to expectation. So here is the facts :) My house is centrally located. It takes -7-8 min by car to downtown (or 20min by bus). Very close to historic business districts called Mississippi Ave or Alberta Arts which are full of great restaurants, shops and cafes. Also, if you are coming from Airport. It is 10 min drive from the house. Some great restaurants and markets in walking distance also.
The house was just as described - super comfortable, charming, and clean. There were small signs in many places indicating what to do, how to use things, etc. Riko was available via text and email to answer questions as needed. I would definitely stay there again.
