Riko's charming vintage guest house was a thorough delight. We loved every minute of our stay there. The house was beautiful, well appointed and conveniently located. We were so comfortable during our stay. The hammock was a favorite spot for my son (and everyone else!).
The house was great. Very cozy and comfortable and the hammock was a a nice touch. Riko was super attentive and her recommendations for places around town we're spot on!
Her hospitality exceeded our expectations! She was happy to give us recommendations on places to check out in the area and was always welcoming. A very convenient location. I look forward to coming back soon!
The warmth in this home reflects the sincerity of the owner. We cannot thank Riko enough for providing the perfect place for our visit to Portland. Rikos home provided that sanctuary that my family needed. We felt at home the moment we walked in the door. It was as though the house wrapped its arms around us and said we were home. Every detail, from the specialty coffees, the soft and inviting linens down to the soaps and shampoos and even games to play had been provided for our needs. The house was very clean with such comfortable furniture, we felt as though we had gone to a private villa. The grounds have several places to just sit and relax from the hanging hammock, the quiet patio in the back to the chairs on the front porch to watch the world go by. Probably the thing that made everything so perfect was our host - Ms. Riko. She saw to every detail and every need before we even knew we needed it. She has one of the sweetest and inviting personalities I have ever seen and am now excited to call her my new friend. Since my son and his family live in Portland, we will be planning several more trips. Our plan now is to stay in our new home away from home.
The host was very helpful and immediately addressed some minor issues. The house was nice and we really enjoyed hte fireplace, eating outside, and the coffee, teas, and basic condiments provided.
The downstairs bedrooms were on the small side, but hte beds were comfortable. The upstairs bedroom had more of a dorm feel, which would be a great space for a larger group that included kids. It was also pretty hot, but there was an air conditioner.
Also appreciated all the magazines and info about Portland. Great restaurant recommendations. A bus was nearby that took us to downtown. There was not much within very easy walking distance.
Riko's charming vintage guest house is the perfect home in Portland to enjoy a few days or longer! The house is just as you see in the pictures and there is plenty of amenities to be comfortable throughout your stay. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks!
A very sweet house in a lovely neighborhood with a wonderful hostess! We enjoyed our mini family reunion in this comfortable house, cooking, reading, hanging out in the light-filled living room and backyard lanai!
Riko was a delightful host. This is a stand-alone property and we had complete privacy, but Riko made a point of meeting us in person at a time convenient for everyone. If possible, she is even more charming in person than she was in her emails! The house was clean and spacious, the beds comfortable, the living space inviting. The neighborhood is quiet and felt safe with easy walking access to a public rose garden and great restaurants. By car, access to highways, groceries, and MORE restaurants was easy and quick. Many thanks to Riko for listing this property with AirBnB. Her charming vintage guest house will be my first choice for accommodations when I return to Portland!
We loved our stay at Riko's guest house. The neighborhood is cute, just a bit north of everything. There's a pretty good coffee shop within walking distance (Cup Coffee Co.), and Riko told us about Sweedeedee, a nearby cafe, but we didn't end up trying it out. The house is great with it's only drawback being the one bathroom (we had 7 guests). There are 2 bedrooms w/ queen beds and one loft room with 2 full size beds. The house has lots of character and is decorated nicely with lots of thoughtful details. The kitchen is great. There's a small patio out back with a table and chairs. And there's a hammock under a small covered porch off the dining area. Riko met us a bit after we checked in to make sure we were comfortable and that all of our questions were answered. It's obvious that she takes pride in her business and wants to provide an excellent experience for her guests. We would definitely stay here again.
