Beautiful area

This home is in a scenic location.

Garden view

Soak up the view during your stay.
Center your Northern Arizona visit at this sanctuary. Waterfalls and gardens, it is a unique home, say; Woodstock meets Flagstaff (I was a child of the 1960-70’s), in a quiet neighborhood, steps from hiking/biking trails, minutes from downtown Flagstaff, and just off the road to Sedona. Raven's Grotto is a funky, rustic well-loved home. Far from being "new construction", the Grotto is clean, very cozy, and awaits your arrival for a relaxed and renewing stay.

If you want privacy and solitude, it is yours while you are staying at Raven's Grotto. If you are interested in Northern Arizona's natural and cultural history, tourism destinations, or the local art and music scenes, just ask your host, Christina Norlin.

More and more people who are working from home are now speeding extended stays here. I am happy to offer internet speeds of 1Gps!

Christina lives in her loft and working studio, next door to Raven's Grotto. She is always happy to show you her working studio.

Christina is a respected local artist, Master Gardner, and a 49-year resident of Flagstaff. A graduate of Northern Arizona University, Christina majored in Graphic Design, working her way through college grooming the slopes at Arizona Snowbowl and driving boatmen and their equipment to and from the Colorado River for Arizona Raft Adventures.

About the gardens and waterfall. Flagstaff sits at 7000’ above sea level and has 4 seasons. Come October the gardens lay down for the winter rest and regeneration. As hard as I have tried I cannot keep the waterfall running year round due to freezing temperatures. Even in nature water freezes and stops. So from about late October to around late April the waterfall sleeps.

Guest access
You will have full access to the house, your own private entrance and parking off the street. Christina lives in the other half of the duplex. When she's not hiking or traveling, you can probably find her grooming the Raven's Grotto gardens, tending the local community of crows and ravens, or creating fine jewelry and glassware. Ask her for a tour of her studio.

Neighborhood highlights

In 41 years, I have lived everywhere in Flagstaff; when I found this place, I knew I was finally "home". A small county island of just five streets, we respect each other's privacy and are always ready to lend a hand when needed. We are surrounded by State land; hiking, biking and wandering are highly encouraged!

Born in the 50s
Where I went to school: Northern Arizona University
I'm a working artist, Master Gardener and 40-year resident of Flagstaff. Sterling silver, gems and glass are my main mediums. I love to garden and create sacred spaces; my home is one of those spaces. I have a Graphic Design degree from Northern Arizona University. I worked my way through college grooming slopes at Arizona Snowbowl and driving boatmen and their equipment to and from the Colorado River for Arizona Raft Adventures. If you want privacy and solitude, it is yours while you stay at Raven's Grotto, but if you are interested in Northern Arizona's natural and cultural history, tourism destinations, or the local art and music scenes, please ask me. I live in the other half of the duplex. When I'm not working at Flagstaff Native Plant and Seed, you can probably find me grooming the Raven's Grotto gardens, nurturing the local community of crows and ravens, or working in my studio. Feel free to ask me for a tour.
