Manuel was such a great host !! He was so friendly and he helped us with everything ! We enjoyed the fresh cooked food from Manuel ! The beautiful Brown's Beach is just a short walk from the Appartement ! The room and bath was so clean ! Best place in Barbados !! We wish all the best to them !!
Shelley and Manuel were very welcoming. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by Shelley. She prepared a warm meal and gave me some insights about the location and my lodging accommodations. During my stay I was greeted daily and asked how was my day or if I needed any assistance. I was able to break bread and share knowledge with my host. Manuel went out of his way to drop me off at the airport despite me insisting that I would be happy to travel by taxi. Thank you for making my 30th birthday trip memorable! I look forward to renting your space in the near future.
Staying with Shelley and Manuel was everything you could hope for from an Airbnb experience - they are genuinely lovely people, and they were friendly, welcoming, and generous hosts. They clearly want to make sure that people enjoy Barbados, and go over and above to make this happen. The room is great - the bed is comfortable, it's nice and quiet, and the mosquito net is resilient! Shelley is a great cook, and it's definitely worth saying "Yes!" if she's cooking and offers you a piece of the action. It's a five minute walk to the beach, and the area's pleasantly down-to-earth and laid-back. I'd recommend it to anyone.
Rachel and Nathan are two terrific hosts for AirBnB. Both are warm and caring people. Nothing is too much trouble for them. During my recent one month stay, I had a dental emergency. Rachel put me in touch with her dentist and drove me to and from my appointment. Rachel is a great chef and I will miss her flying fish and fish cakes. Their lovely bright, airy home, is full of original art, and a 5 minute walk from beautiful Brown’s Beach. As Rachel and Nathan live in the same building, I felt very secure and cared for. The garden is lovely, with lots of trees and a nice patio area. The hosts are relaxed and there is a lovely casual atmosphere in the house. I would not hesitate to recommend Rachel and Nathan’s lovely traditional Barbadian home as a place to stay.
Rachel and Manuel are most amazing and inspiring people you can imagine, so friendly and helpful, they make you feel so welcome like you are the family
Our apartment was spacious, very clean and homely,( make sure you see the whole house, especially the paintings and sea shells collection).
We had a fabulous holiday, people are so kind and friendly and beaches are the best we've ever seen...can't wait to go back
Rachel and Manuel were amazing hosts! My girlfriend arrived before me and Rachel was kind enough to walk her town to the beach and show her the immediate area around the apartment. I arrived later that night, thanks to her detailed directions. I felt right at home. She prepared me a small bite to eat upon my arrival and was very friendly. The following morning she had some fresh fruit and coffee for us know that we both traveled far to get there.
The street (Dunlop lane) that takes you from the main road (Bay Street) to the apartment felt a bit spooky when I was arriving on foot at night, but you soon feel part of the neighborhood. Everyone is friendly and eager to say hello. Every morning we walked by an older lady on her front porch and she always wished us a great day on the beach with a smile.
Showers were hot, plenty of ventilation, serene balcony with monkeys in the trees and dogs running around below. Relaxing spot.
