Robert was a great host, my daughter and I felt very welcomed and save in his house and the neighborhood. Robert was very friendly but also gave us our privacy. He was very helpful with any questions we had. We loved the neighborhood, had everything we needed just about 2 blocks away, food, coffee, tea, drinks, entertainment and quaint grocery stores all at walking distance. Alamo Square was 2 blocks away, loved the dog park.
We enjoyed our stay at Robert's house. Robert is welcoming and he prepares breakfast each morning with really nice coffee. We really enjoyed our time every morning chatting with him over breakfast. The house is clean and well maintained, we find it convenient to get to places we wanted to. Robert has 2 cute cats too. Recommended.
This was our second time staying with Robert for the purpose of attending the three day music festival "Outside Lands." The location is perfectly near the bus stops and is in a great little neighborhood offering great markets, cute little restaurants, cozy but very nice bars, and very accessible. Having parking right in front of the house is a key feature. Robert made us feel very welcome, and it was a pleasure sharing a great breakfast in the morning - be it delicious scrambled eggs or yummy oatmeal!
We spent three nights at Robert's place. Robert is a warm and welcoming host. The breakfast he provided us with each morning was delicious and set us up perfectly for our adventures in the city. He even serenaded us on the piano and the harpsichord as we got ready to go out! You couldn't ask for a better location from which to explore San Francisco. As for the accommodation - the bed was comfortable and we slept well. The room itself is a little on the cramped side but not such a problem as we didn't spend much time in it other than when sleeping. The only criticism we had was that there was a noticeable odour throughout, most likely from Robert's two cats. This might have been a deal breaker for us if we had been staying for a longer period. If a solution could be found for that, we would not hesitate to recommend staying at Robert's charming little house.
We very much enjoyed our stay with Robert. We found the location was perfect for us, smack bam in the middle of everywhere we wanted to go. We found we could walk most places. The bed was comfortable and we never had a problem using the shared bathroom when we needed to, so it felt like ours. The breakfasts were delicious each morning and it was great to chat with Robert, have a go on his harpsichord and meet his two lovely cats. Recommended.
Couldn't have chose a better place to stay in San Francisco. Roberts home is a far better alternative than anywhere downtown, the surrounding neighborhood is perfect for local bars and restaurants and is in a perfect location to travel around San Francisco. As for the room, it was incredibly comfortable, we only used it as a place to sleep, but everything was clean and tidy. Breakfast is a huge bonus, saved us a lot of money and was perfect fuel for our big days. And if your lucky Robert will even play you a goodbye song on his piano.
