Everything was great, especially the view. We all loved the area and the house. I would recommend this place to anyone.
We spent one week in June 2014 in this comfortable cottage with the extraordiary view to the sea and we are happy to say that this was the best we ever had!
Everything was perfect and the handling was realy uncomplicated.
Thanks Mary, we are sure it was not our last vacation in your house.
Anton und Irmgard Dorn
We really enjoyed our stay here, and wished only that it could have been for longer. Mary was working in Cork when we arrived, but her neighbors Wendy and Bernadette were helpful and gracious as could be.
This cottage is obviously well loved and well lived in, with more modern conveniences (and spectacular view) in the downstairs. The kitchen is lovely and looks out over a gorgeous vista to the sea. There is no wifi, so you're going to be pretty inaccessible to the outside world. That being said, you'd really have to rent a car to visit here. The village is a few miles away, with a shop and several pubs.
West Cork was generally charming and everyone was so helpful and nice. We'd love to visit again for longer.
About the Host, Mary
We are a family of five (three teenage children). Ardra Cottage is our little piece of heaven in West Cork. We love the sea and the great outdoors and this gives us the best of everything. The children sail regularly at neighboring Glandore; we kayak from our local beach (2 mins walk) and swim every day that the weather will allow. We enjoy long walks with the dogs enjoying the wonderful scenery and hidden beaches, nooks and crannies in the area.
If you, like us, enjoy outdoor life, then West Cork is the place to come!
