The Neighborhood

Set near Plateau, Mile-end, Little Italy and Jean-Talon market, La Petite-Patrie neighbourhood is Montreal's best kept secret! Attracted by Saint-Ambroise elementary school, quietness and accessibility, many young families decided to settle here. That makes up for a unique mix of quietness, liveliness, respect and good vibes throughout. You must take a look at the alley on saturdays: kids playing around and parents chatting and gardening!

Take a morning BiXi (public bicycle, at the corner) stroll on one of Montreal's numerous cycling path, grab a bite and a double espresso at Caffè Mille Gusti (100m), get a fresh baguette at Autour d'Un Pain (100m) and chat with those who make Montreal so unique.

Browse the Plaza Saint-Hubert (700m) for music, books, banks, pharmacies, convenience store, bars and so much more! Get downtown in 20 minutes with Beaubien subway station (800m) and come back home in so little time, away from the noise and stress, on your school zone street with mature trees. Also, don't forget the poutine at Poutineville, two blocks away!

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Olivier was friendly and helpful. The flat had all the necessities. The neighbourhood was quiet, pleasant and convenient. Enjoyed having my breakfast coffee on the back balcony overlooking the green and well treed backyards.

  • Extremely positive experience. Beautiful airy apartment in a great location.
The apartment was as it appears in photographs and the host was quick to respond to my questions and a pleasure to communicate with. Highly recommend.

  • Olivier (email hidden)! Friendly, helpful, and eager to improve your stay. The neighbourhood is also great, with charming local colour and businesses. I can recommend the apartment for a short stay, especially if you'd like to see a growing, culturally vibrant side of the city a bit removed from the downtown (centre-ville).

    Response from Olivier:

    Hi Ryan!

I just got your feedback, sorry for the delay!

Thanks a lot for letting me know about the freezer, I'll take a look into it. I also added sugar, spices, salt/pepper and dishes, pans to my grocery list.

I appreciate your comments very much, they will improve the next guests' experience!

Hope Halifax is treating you well!

  • Appartement fonctionnel , dans un quartier très calme , pas loin du métro . Petti immeuble très typique avec escalier extérieur .
    Bon équipement . A recommander .

  • My father stayed in Olivier's apartment during his one-week visit to Montreal. The apartment was well-located for his needs and provided him with everything that he needed. He quite enjoyed his stay. Thanks again!

  • The place was cozy, very clean, exactly as shown in the photos and checking in with Oliver was a breeze!

Lots of families around in neighbouring apartments so don't expect to sleep-in on week-end mornings as these character Montreal apartments are not as sound-proof as newer buildings.

It's a beautiful, kid-friendly, neighbourhood. We had a great time.

I am always eager to try and learn new things, whether it be trying out new sports, discovering new forms of art or travelling, I rarely say no to adventure. Since I was young, I got to travel abroad for extended stays, mainly in , Germany, Hungary and Argentina. These experiences made me very aware of the traveler's needs and that is why I try to tweak my offer as best as I can: international electric adapters, a cellphone, an iron, a blow dryer, a luggage balance; all small things that add a little convenience to a stay abroad. I live right downstairs from the apartment, which means you can expect quick feedback from me :-) I was born and raised in Montreal, so do not hesitate to ask me for what makes the city so beautiful and lovely to live in! Looking forward to meeting you!
