Interaction with Guests

Set near Plateau, Mile-end, Little Italy and Jean-Talon market, La Petite-Patrie neighbourhood is Montreal's best kept secret! Attracted by Saint-Ambroise elementary school, quietness and accessibility, many young families decided to settle here. That makes up for a unique mix of quietness, liveliness, respect and good vibes throughout. You must take a look at the alley on saturdays: kids playing around and parents chatting and gardening!
Take a morning BiXi (public bicycle, at the corner) stroll on one of Montreal's numerous cycling path, grab a bite and a double espresso at Caffè Mille Gusti (100m), get a fresh baguette at Autour d'Un Pain (100m) and chat with those who make Montreal so unique.
Browse the Plaza Saint-Hubert (700m) for music, books, banks, pharmacies, convenience store, bars and so much more! Get downtown in 20 minutes with Beaubien subway station (800m) and come back home in so little time, away from the noise and stress, on your school zone street with mature trees. Also, don't forget the poutine at Poutineville, two blocks away!
Other Things to Note
The building is typical early 20th century Montreal architecture. In order to provide extra room for families of 10+ children, architects had to cut down on bathroom area. Although only 40 square feet, the bathroom is fully functional :-)

The apartment is in a very nice area of Montreal, quiet yet lively, and also close to public transportation. The apartment itself was cozy and clean with lots of space and including a balcony facing the back yard. Olivier was a great host, who made us feel very welcome.
We will hopefully be coming back.
Olivier made check-in very easy for us when we arrived after a long drive. The apartment is accurate to the photos and description listed. The rooms are spacious and bright lit at a very convenient location (subway, walking). I would definitely stay at Olivier's again, hopefully for a longer stay next time. Thank you for hosting us !
It's just fantastic to have heating installed when it's really cold at night. There is also a whole set of stuff for cooking (cooking pans, ladles, plates and wine glasses) and we made bacon and eggs the next morning for breakfast. It was definitely a great experience, though I did not have chance to meet Olivier in person (my friends met him when I was not there).
We arrived at midnight and Oliver made the arrival super easy. We got in easily and went right to sleep. He left us a welcome basket and fresh towels, that was very sweet. Oliver gave us great suggestions for dinner and sights to see. The apartment was just like the photos. It was clean and beautiful. I loved the neighborhood as well. We walked to breakfast and around town. We walked to the train to visit downtown. It was a great vacation.
About the Host, Olivier
I am always eager to try and learn new things, whether it be trying out new sports, discovering new forms of art or travelling, I rarely say no to adventure.
Since I was young, I got to travel abroad for extended stays, mainly in , Germany, Hungary and Argentina. These experiences made me very aware of the traveler's needs and that is why I try to tweak my offer as best as I can: international electric adapters, a cellphone, an iron, a blow dryer, a luggage balance; all small things that add a little convenience to a stay abroad.
I live right downstairs from the apartment, which means you can expect quick feedback from me :-)
I was born and raised in Montreal, so do not hesitate to ask me for what makes the city so beautiful and lovely to live in!
