We stayed at Tjarda's Cozy Guesthouse at the end of a very busy European vacation. It was nice to be in a quiet, rural area surrounded by a beautiful garden. Although it was cloudy and rainy during our visit, we enjoyed visiting the Veluwe and the Palace. The house was a short drive to many cute villages and attractions. Tjarda and Peter were welcoming an helpful. Tjarda even helped my husband acquire gasoline on a Sunday morning as we had had trouble using our credit card at the station. The house was fully stocked with food, coffee, shampoo, etc. and very cute. The bed was comfortable but was up some very steep, ladder type steps. The bathroom was on the main floor. It was not a problem for us but could be for someone who is physically limited. Also, internet was "spotty." All in all, a great and comfortable ending to our trip! Thank you Tjarda and Peter!

We really enjoyed our stay! Tjarda and Peter were warm and welcoming, and their children were absolutely lovely. Our daughter was sad to leave the spacious yard and her newfound friends. We hope to visit again some day!

Absolutely recommended, this place was great! Tjarda was such a friendly and helpful host. It was a short drive to De Hoge Veluwe park, plus the small towns in the area were very nice to explore. We also greatly appreciated the ample breakfast options that were provided, especially as it is a rural area with few options to buy food on a Sunday (when we stayed). Only things to be aware of: the wifi signal was a little weak so it's not good for anyone who is particularly attached to wifi. Also, the stairs to the upstairs bedroom were very steep - might not be appropriate for anyone who has difficulty with that kind of thing.

This lovely guesthouse was just what we needed in the midst of our cross-country bike ride through the Netherlands. Uddel is in a beautiful part of the country with family farms and perfectly cared-for homes. This was a great example. The guesthouse was totally private, very clean, and stocked with everything we could ask for. We took several long walks through the countryside and had a great time. Thanks, Tjarda!
