It was a beautiful trip to the Big Island. Bruce and Linda made us feel very welcome. The room was very nice. Bruce gave us some good snorkeling tips. The house is in a beautiful location with easy access to Hilo.
Safe and Quiet! Quite a lot of birds and insects sing together during the evening. Linda is such a wonderful person.
The Stay at Hale O'Puluke was good. It's a nice house a bit out of town, so it's quiet there. Our host was Bruce and he's a nice guy.
We enjoyed our stay very much.
We stayed at Bruces house. You can choose from two identical rooms, one down floor, the other on the first. You have got a bathroom for your own and you are invited to use everything, from the kitchen to the living room to the dinning table. We also could use the washing maschine and the dryer - very useful!
The house is bright although situated in the heart of a cultivated dschungle in the middle of nowhere.
But that makes it a perfect starting point for the whole Hilo area, including hot ponds, volcano, lava fields in the south and the waterfalls in the north. Bruce and Linda provided a lot of useful information and even showed us interesting places such as Lindas garden or beautiful beaches.
Bruce and Linda were perfect hosts. Linda brought a lot of flowers and fruits from her garden. Bruce cooked a delicious dinner for us. Though we had both, nice contact and privacy.
They did everything to give us a perfect stay - thank you very much!
It's like a secluded rainforest escape, surrounded by fruit trees and flowering plants. Yet it is really well located being close to all three places - Volcano National Park, Hilo and Pahoa. Linda the owner is warm and caring - she made me teapots full of hot hibiscus tree from fresh red leaves from her garden, that helped me get over a bad cold. My husband and I really enjoyed the tour of her gardens while our daughter played with her cats and dogs. We got to eat unbelievably delicious fruit for breakfast like abiu, white pineapple, passion fruit, avocado, papaya, jackfruit, guava and many more, all picked from her garden. We would have loved to stay longer and relax into island mode, but alas had to hurry back to mainland.
