Hello and welcome home! My comfortable bedroom is in Dublin's safest area: enjoy a stroll along the quays, feed the ducks in the Royal Canal or just hang around in posh Ballsbridge. I always have fresh flowers and hot tea to make you feel at home :)

The Space

* I have a double bedroom with private bathroom in Dublin’s Grand Canal Dock area, right in front of the most popular search engine offices in Barrow Street.

* The room features a double sized bed and a large wardrobe. It also comes with towels and complimentary toiletries.

* I don't intend to offer breakfast as such but tea is always available in the flat and the Spar downstairs has lovely and affordable pastries.

* The apartment offers great facilities including FREE WiFi, balcony, hot shower, bath tub, small hairdryer, washing machine, dryer and iron.

* The flat is located right in the heart of Dublin’s Grand Canal Dock close to the local train (DART) and a 20 minutes walk to Trinity College and Dublin city centre.

* You also have easy access to shopping and restaurants (Baggot Street, the IFSC, Ranelagh, Rathmines and Ballsbridge) and sight seeing destinations like St. Stephen's Green, Merrion Square, Herbert Park and Temple Bar.

* The Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, the RDS, the Aviva Stadium, the O2 Arena and The Convention Centre Dublin are at walking distance too.

* The flat is also served by some of the major bus routes and there's a taxi stop right in front of the building.

* If you are passionate about walking like me, the seaside is about 40 minutes walk away (Sandymount). Here you can take the 2 hours-walk from the Mexican Statue to the Poolbeg Lighthouse.

* The DART will also take you to some of the nicest coastal villages in Ireland, like Dalkey, Howth and Bray, in just 20 minutes ride.

* We have two mini-rabbits, Maui and Prugna. They are in their cage and won't disturb you at all. If you love small pets, you're more than welcome to pet the girls!

Guest Access

* 1 double bedroom
* 1 private toilet with shower and bath tub
* shared living room & kitchen
* washing machine (minimum 1 week booking)

Interaction with Guests

My boyfriend Marius and I are happy to welcome you. If you need, we will give you tips to make the best of your stay in Dublin.

The Neighborhood

* The neighborhood is safe and tastes of Dublin: the quays, the river, the canal - I love it!

* Just go for a walk in this area and you'll see nice properties as well as pubs and restaurants (visit Paulie's if you like pizza!)

* Herbert Park is beautiful with swans and ducks to feed.

* You can also jump on the DART (the local train) to visit all the quaint villages around Dublin, like Dalkey and Howth.

* Most online companies including Airbnb are at your feet!

Getting around

* DART (3 minutes from the flat)
* buses (7 minutes from the flat, takes you quickly into Temple Bar)
* by walk (25 minutes to St Stephen Green)

Other Things to Note

* Please look at the map on here where you'll find all my recommendations for local restaurants, pubs, walks etc... These are more authentic than Temple Bar :)

  • The space was very adequate, clean, and comfortable. Nadia is very friendly and helpful; she made us feel very welcome. Her apartment is about a 15 minutes walk to most attractions and we never bothered with public transportation. Her listing was accurate and her home very cozy. Great location: not too close to the bustle of the tourist crowd, but close enough to walk.

  • Great place to stay! We were here on our first couple of nights in Dublin. Nadia made us feel comfortable and welcome. The place is very clean and well kept. We really liked having our own bathroom. It was a nice area to stay (about 25 minute walk from city centre). Marius helped me we arrangements for travelling to Galway. That was much appreciated. Overall a great experience:)

  • Unfortunately we were unable to meet Nadia during our short stay (only one night). Jet lag got the best of us and we slept when she was home. We did get to meet her boyfriend later in the night and he was very welcoming and sweet. The room is nice and the apartment was very clean. It is in an interesting neighborhood as well, that was nice to walk around. Would definitely recommend this apartment for Dublin travelers!

  • Nadia sent very detailed and clear instructions to get to her place. She made it convenient for me to check in at 1am. Even though our schedules didn't overlap and we never saw each other, she was very communicative via email/airbnb. The bedroom and bathroom were in immaculate condition. I was very comfortable. Only a 20mins walk to the city center. Also a nice location to walk along the water and see the canals and docks to the east. Highly recommended!

  • Nadia and Mariusz were the perfect hosts to me. Welcoming and everything planned ahead so it was easy to find. We had an evening of good conversation and great tea!
I only stayed for one night but it was just the place for me, close to beautiful Grand Canal area and shops and cafées nearby. Also, Nadia and Mariusz were very helpful in getting me to airport on time the next morning :) I will definitely stay with them, should I come to Dublin again!
Thank you, both of you :)

  • Nadia took a chance on me as I am new to Air BnB with no reviews. My husband & I had a 19 hour layover in Dublin on our way home from a trip to Cannes. I wanted to stay near a friend who had no room at her place for guests. Nadia's house was on the same block (lucky me!) and provided a welcome place for us to sleep and easily have breakfast with my friend in the morning. The apartment was impeccably clean & she left helpful notes on what to do in the neighborhood as well as around Dublin, I wish I had had the time to check out the area more. House rules were clear and concise and the place was easy to find thanks to her careful directions. I really appreciated the opportunity. Thanks a ton, Nadia!

  • Great spot for a quick visit to Dublin in a fantastic area of the city we hadn’t been in before. Nadia and Marius were very welcoming, letting us drop off our bags before check-in time after our early morning arrival and giving us tips for getting to the airport early the next morning. The room was cosy, simple, and we had everything we needed.

"Tourists don't know where they've been, travelers don't know where they're going," is one of my favorite quotes ... I'm originally from Italy, a Dubliner for about six years now, and truly passionate about traveling. The best places I've visited start with M: Miami, Maui and Madagascar. I lived in Sydney for a year and love Australia. In future I'd like to visit Socotra Island and maybe try a tree house in Costa Rica. I love surfing (which doesn't mean I can properly surf) so another interest is Nicaragua. I enjoy Middle Eastern cuisine and corossol juice!
