The Space

Stay in the historic Clinton Hill/Bed Stuy neighborhood of Brooklyn. This classic brick home has been newly renovated – so all the benefits of being new, but still the charm of old Brooklyn. Your studio apartment is on the 2nd level of a duplex apartment with a separate apartment entrance. The apartment is very sunny and bright as well as being fully air-conditioned. The apartment is tastefully appointed with a modern/classic touch.

There is a bathroom, eat-in kitchen, and large studio (and 2 closets!). The apartment is perfect for one-person or a couple, and has a queen size bed. We also provide fresh towels and linen. The kitchen large, modern, and bright and is fully appointed (microwave, full size refrigerator, full size stove/oven, dishes/cutlery, toaster oven, and coffee/tea maker). In addition, there is free WIFI and a flat screen TV/cable.

The neighborhood is eclectic, diverse, and vibrant. You are close to shops, bars, restaurants, and major Brooklyn attractions (Fulton Mall, Downtown Brooklyn, Brooklyn Bridge, Pratt Art Institute, Prospect Park, Barclays Center, Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, BAM, DUMBO, Williamsburg, and Brooklyn Art Museum). The studio apartment is also located on major bus-lines and 2 blocks from the G-train with a quick commute to Manhattan or Prospect Park. You are 2 stops from the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn -

The studio-bedroom apartment affords you considerable privacy and comfort on the 2nd floor with your own entrance onto the street – so you don’t have to share a bathroom or coffee pot with a stranger and wait to take a shower. The studio is part of our two-family home and we live in the second apartment, so we are happy to answer any questions and help you get settled in. When you rent the studio, you rent the entire studio apartment and the flat is for your enjoyment. We have incorporated electronic entry locks, therefore there are no keys to exchange, return, or lose.

  • I loved this place...It was hard to leave! The location is low key (well,as low key as youre gonna get in NYC) but it is just a quick metro ride to a great night life. Mark&Andrew are great hosts. Thanks guys!

  • We had the best experience here. This is a lovely place, spotlessly maintained and filled with all the necessites. Our hosts were kind and helpful; willing to accomodate all our needs.

We will happily stay here again and recommend it highly.

  • We had a very good time at Mark & Andrew's place and it felt really like home there. For 4 weeks we could discover New York and the nice neighborhood and it was absolutely easy and fast to get everywhere by subway (5 minute walk), bus (2 minute walk) or foot.
The apartment is huge, comfy, very good equipped with everything you need and very calm. You also find a well appointed super market nearby and a lovely cafe, which you should definitely check out: Colador Cafe (1000 Bedford Ave).
Mark & Andrew are very nice, helpful and reliable. The communication was easy, we could reach them any time. It was absolutely no problem to store there our luggage when we arrived early in the morning or departed late in the evening.
We loved the apartment and highly recommend it.

  • Very nice and very clean place. The hosts made it very easy to feel welcome and helped with a ton of information. Close to the Metro (G Line) and to a lot of the sights in Brooklyn.

  • The apartment is well appointed and comfortable, however the area is probably not the best for 2 girls coming back late at night. The biggest issue I had was although the bed was comfortable, it had a sort of a plastic liner under the top sheet that crinkled when I moved and didn't breathe and made me sweat and barely sleep the first night.
There is a lot of noise due to construction on both sides of the apartment and on the busy street below- so bring your earplugs if you're a light sleeper! Though the subway is very close, it took me almost 45 min- an hour to get to Chelsea on either of the subway routes available.
The hosts seem nice though we didn't have a lot of contact with them.

  • Mark & Andrew were warm & welcoming hosts. I booked this studio last minute and they were incredibly accommodating. The studio is very clean, comfortable, spacious and well-appointed. Plenty of street-parking as well. Would definitely stay there again!

  • Mark and Andrew were excellent hosts. The apartment was excellent with all the facilities. The location was perfect for us. There was a supermarket in the area just 5 mins walk from the apartment. . We took the subway 4 minutes away from the apartment which took us into Manhattan in 25 mins. I would also like to thank Markus and Andrew for the directions. All it was a wonderful experience and would definately recommend the Brooklyn apartment to anybody.

  • My friend and I stayed with Mark and Andrew for 10 days and they couldn't have been more hospitable. The apartment had everything we needed and it was very close to the subway. I 'd definitely recommend Mark and Andrew's place for anyone traveling to New York.
