Second floor in a beautiful old house; with a unique view over the lake. Perfect for a romantic holiday or for a small family wanting to explore this area. Big outdoor spaces. Walking paths to Orta San Giulio on idyllic trails along the lake. Access to a shared, private dock for bathing or kayak. The house is situated in a big, private park. We recommend our guests to come by car. Cats live in the apartment some times, so not recommended if you have allergies.

The space
2. floor in a charming house with two apartments, situated on the top of a hill overlooking the lake. The view is unique, including the Buccione tower, Sacro Monte, Madonna del Sasso Monastery and the Isola San Giulio. Our house is one of three houses divided into apartments in a huge, private park. We partly live here, so you will be surrounded by our personal belongings. The house is not perfect- it needs a bit of paint, kitchen and bathroom could be upgraded- but the view compensates for most faults, it is breathtaking. The park is closed with two gates; one leading to the main road and the other leading to the train station. Being a private property shared between various families; only the people living there have access. There is plenty of space to walk, play, enjoy the sun or the view. Allthough it is central- you can walk through the park to the train station or centre of Orta San Giulio (ca 2km) on fairytale like trails through the woods and along the lake- it feels like you are far away from everything. The property has a private dock as well; ca 400 m from the house , where you can either just enjoy the view over the lake and Isola San Giulio; or go for a swim. If you like to be active, you can walk around on the endless, beautiful trails in the surroundings. Mind that the property has some steep hills to reach the upper gate exiting to the train station and to go up and down from the dock. The dock is separated from the house and reached easily, a 30 m walk from the main gate along the main road. We recommend our guests to come by car, and we don't recommend our place if you have mobility difficulties or prefer spotless accommodations only meant for guests, the atmosphere here is home-cosiness more than hotel.

Our house is quite rare since it offers both access and view to the lake, and walking distance to beautiful Orta San Giulio and the train station. You can enjoy the surroundings by walking on numerous, idyllic and ancient paths both near the lake and up to various attractions (among these UNESCO heritage Sacro Monte which you see from our balcony), restaurants, wine bars. There is a public beach 15 minutes walk from us, and the center of one of Italy's most beautiful villages, Orta San Giulio, is 2 km away. The apartment is surrounded by a huge, private park.
