The Space

Brand new luxury villa in the North of Bali. finished April 2014, this villa is perfect for relaxing, hear the nature full sea view, this is Bali as it used to be 25years ago, the villa has 2 big bedrooms, 3 (website hidden) in both rooms. Living room with open kitchen, 2 more living rooms open concept. Big private infinity pool, full sea view. Staff and security, sleep up to 8,

the normal rate will be 250USD per night but because the villa is brand new we start with a extra low rate starting at 139USD per night. like this our staff has the time to learn, we are fine-tuning the last things like the pressure that we would like to have more strong now it takes 10mintues to fill up the bathtub we want it to be 5 minutes for example.

please know that the villa is not far from Singaraja and the beach but this villa is for everybody that wants to relax and likes the quietness like Bali use to be 25years ago

Guest Access

Guest have access to the full house and the private pool

Interaction with Guests

The interaction with the guest will only be with the staff, we think guests want 100% privacy, if the guest wants us to come to the villa of course then we will.

The Neighborhood

This is a tranquil setting, BALI 25 YEARS AGO!!!!

there is a beautiful 360o sea view. we are close to the beach (with a free shuttle), we are 20 minutes away from a Carrefour supermarket, the staff can do your shopping for you
You find temples and water falls close by also the second biggest city of bali Singaraja is 30 minutes away, Lovina a tourist destination with dolphin watching is 30minutes away. Ubud is about 60minutes away.
there is also an art zoo 15minutes away.
there are some nice resaurants about 20minutes away.

remember that the rain is much less in north bali then in the south.

If you want to party non stop with young people all night long and be in the middle of the tourist area then this might NOT be your location, :-)

Getting around

by our transportation this is most easy, but a motor cicle is also a nice idea.

Other Things to Note

have fun but respect the people and surroundings

  • My stay at this Villa was beyond amazing! I love how the place has been designed to being an open concept! The pool and how it overlooks the forest and sea makes the experience even more exquisite! Ari the one who coordinates yr stay is truly one of the nicest person we've met. He sees to your EVERY need, even if it meant buying us a toothbrush we forgot to (website hidden)'s cooking is pleasant and the bbq dinner felt like a feast for a King. You'll meet Kadek who's such a nice being who literally rushes down to fix anything you need. Knowing i'm a dog lover, he brought his puppy over which sent me over the moon and chatted with us even when it's not during his work hours. He attended every need with a sense of urgency. We totally loved all the staff. And this villa is extravagant. It is away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Do stock up on groceries cos the nearest convenience shop might be at least a 40 min drive. Every morning we woke up to such a beautiful spread of nature that laid before you. Honestly, what you get out of this experience is waaay more than the price you pay! I doubt you'll find another place as exclusive and exquisite as this! Thank you Kim, Ari, Lu and Kadek. You made our stay in Bali a memorable one, etched in our memories forever!

  • We stayed in the villa for more than 2 weeks and enjoyed a quiet stay at a wonderful place with a breathtaking view over an amazing large infinity pool. Kim and Arie were very attentive and helpful even after our return to Germany. As the villa is brandnew there are some minor issues as guests already mentioned here. Reflecting the current conditon of the "road" to the house from main road, we definitely would recommend a four-wheel-drive car if you prefer to drive yourself. The road is in a bad condition and we were really lucky not to have any rain during our stay. This also means, it will take you around 2 hours return if you are planning to go for dinner, your choice will mostly be Lovina and this will take time to go there. So be sure about the remote location, there are pro and cons. Kadek and his family were also very nice and supporting in every way, if you appreciate lots of privacy, this could be the wrong place for you. They are nice, so we accepted, but sometimes we wished to be more private indeed. The upstairs living area is very beautiful, even we never really used it. We would appreciate another daybed or Bale ion the ground floor, the wooden chairs have been quite uncomfortable. We never watched TV, the 180 degree view was our screen. You should also consider that you live in a rural area, you will also live together with different kind of insects, especially with this open area villa. During our stay we several contacts with smaller and bigger spiders, Kadek and Liu always assisted in removing, but better consider if you have kind of arachnophobia, they love to be everywhere. Overall we had a great stay, enjoyed true Bali with real people, discovered some new spots outside South Bali and hope you will benefit from some nicely cooking advise given by my girlfriend to Liu for varying the great complimentary breakfast which was always a wonderful start and a highlight of our day. Thank you Kim and Arie for being your guests in that tranquil place.

    Response from Kim:

    Dear Karsten,

thank you very much for your nice review and feedback.

The Villa is located outside the tourist area in the North of Bali which is not as developed as the busy south, therefore the infrastructure in some parts is not as good, however you can experience the real Bali.

We hope to see you back
    kind regards

  • OMG this was the high light of our trip to Bali. The photos do not do it justice, it is absolutely superb. Ocean views, valley views, no neighbors,no noise...just tranquility. This villa is off the beaten track, but Ari arranged transport to and from plus drivers to Singaraja or Lovina if you want to go checkout these areas.
Lou makes the best breakfast we had during our 2 weeks in Bali. Great coffee, omlettes, and lovely crockery, all served out on the amazing balcony with 180 degree views.
The infinity pool is fabulous, the kids played in it all day!! All day breeze to keep you cool unlike the walled villas of seminyak
Lou and Kedak are gentle and unobtrusive hosts. (with lovely daughters)
Linen clean and pressed- air con nice and cold.
Thank you Ari, Kim, Lou and Kedak- We look forward to coming back next year

  • This place was awesome and just as picturesque as the photos show. As others describe, the road to get there is quite bumpy (very bumpy) -- but once you arrive you'll be in awe. I sat in the infinity pool watching the clouds roll by the ocean with the sun peaking through on the ocean and felt like I was on a movie-set or something.

The staff knows *very* little English -- but we didn't really have a problem with it at all. All the food they made was absolutely awesome as well! We weren't sure if we were going to have dinner at the villa every night but after the first night, we wanted to. The peanut sauce was amazing =)

If you need to go anywhere, Ari or one of his fellow drivers are really professional and nice. We drove all over the place one day with one of them and it was really cost effective. You're definitely not (email hidden) -- but hopefully that's what you're looking for if you're considering this place.

I'd totally come back here! Definitely recommend it!

  • It was truly an amazing stay, being so close back to nature but with all the comforts of a villa :) The view was worth the drive. Be sure to use Ari as your driver!

  • A beautiful villa on the north side of Bali, with a real stunning view! We really enjoyed the food and quiet area. The staff is very friendly! The road to the villa is really bad, I should really use the suggested driver.

  • Most Wonderful Experience

Place is absolutely amazing. Simplicity, Zen and Luxury combined. A location that is so remote that you will be transported back in time while enjoying the facilities of the 21st century. The local family who is taking care of the place and the guests is fantastic. True gems.
We loved everything about our days there, incl. the bad roads, the remoteness, the nature around...

    Will be back in June.

  • We found Kim and his staff to be amazing. The Villa in the north of Bali was simply stunning and we chose, because of the remoteness, to use the cook on a few nights and the food was fantastic and cheap!

The kids played in the pool almost all day if we were around the villa and it is just an easy house to live in.

It is remote and you have to be prepared for a journey. But Ari the driver and organiser was just such an awesome guy, perfect English is spoken and easy to get on with. Informative and interesting to chat to.

If they would have us we would definitely use one of their villas again, perhaps Ubud.

Great experience!! Thanks Kim and thanks Ari you go out of your way to help.

  • The road to get there......could be better. BUT!!!! The moment we arrived, we where amazed. The house looks 10x better in real as on the pictures!!! It's big, beautifull and build under great architecture..... And the view is absolutly stunning, you're in the middle of a jungly forest, everywhere you look it's green and a clear view on the Balinese sea. In the evening it's so quiet that you'll have the impression you're alone in the world, perfect for people who want to relax and get away from all ( but if you need it, the wifi works perfectly:-))) ). The local family who takes care of you and the house, are simply adorable.... Friendly, pure, and the fact that they don't speak english isn't a problem at all ( we communicated treu (website hidden) translate on our smartphone, works perfectly!!!) please be nice to these people, they do what they can to be at help...... Next to that, the lady is a good cook, and she makes breakfast, lunch and dinner. In the morning you can choose from a menu, and at the time you want it, she'll make it.
You don't have to go to a supermarket, everything is there at a good price( even wine!!!) we stayed there for four days, and if we had knewn how beautiful and nice it was, we would have stayed longer( and we will be back for sure, and would also recommend it to all our friends). Big plus is the big infinity pool, that's very beautifull and well kept( clean), little minus is the waterpressure and the small beds, but hey: you'll forget that when you see all the plusses that this beautifull house and it's lovely staff has to offer!!!!!! If you are a spoiled tourist, please stay in your 5 star resort and be pampered, but if you are a true pure-bali addict, this place will amaze you every day!!!! And again: be nice to the staff, they deserve it........

  • The place is so gorgeous and the most perfect getaway. The views are breath taking and the pool is the icing on top. I'd recommend being comfortable on a scooter if you plan on driving up yourself but it is a fun off road track and builds up your excitement along the way. You do also get shown how to get there and You can get a driver there to take you. The staff are super friendly and help with everything! Unfortunately when we arrived the staff that were there did not speak English so we had to go through Ari whenever we needed to communicate but really it's no problem. The food they prepared for us was beautiful and came quickly.

The first thing we did was dive into the pool, afterwards they were cleaning up the water on the floor which made us feel a little awkward. Although they were just looking out for our safety we felt like we could not relax as much as we wanted as we felt bad that they were cleaning up after us. The bath tub was advertised but the hot water capacity was not big enough to fill it, nor were the showers particularly warm - we arrived on a particularly rainy day.
In the morning the staff did give us privacy to do our own thing which we appreciated and Luh made an amazing breakfast.
This is the perfect place for those who like the life of luxury - we just weren't used to it.
Thank you so much to the staff for their help and would definitely recommend.
