Interaction with guests

This is my home; you will see me during your visit. I will happily show you around the neighborhood and make suggestions.

The neighborhood

This is a really amazing, safe area in Brooklyn close to the waterfront with great energy. The neighborhood is considered very trendy with a lot of artists, musicians and unconventional types. There is a lot happening in this neighborhood - restaurants, bars, music venues, movie theaters, shopping, bike rental, grocery store, laundromat, two parks all in walking distance, etc.; you will not be bored. The guidebook is a work in progress since there are so many things to do.

Getting around

The apartment itself is near three subway lines all one stop from Manhattan and several bus lines.

Taxi cabs are frequently in the neighborhood and there are two cab companies within walking distance of the apartment.

Warm hospitality here in comfortable home. Room is good with desk, wardrobe, drawers, mirror, power board, wifi, hair dryer, air con and central heat, laundry basket. Space for my suitcases. Pruvacy respected. Share bathroom was easy. Not too many steps. Whole Foods nearby but plenty of cafes close- no need to cook!

Anika's flat was comfortable and quiet, I was left to my own devices and a big bonus was being able to cook dinner when I was there. Anika was often absent for work so I had the place to myself mostly but she was very pleasant company when she was there.

It was great to stay with Anika - her communication was great, and the apartment was in a good location in W'burg, close to Equinox and Wholefoods, and a bunch of great restaurants. Bedford Ave L station is a 5-7 min walk away.

It was a great staying. Anika is a superhost. She was very kind, we could use the kitchen, the living and the TV without problem. It's a great appartment in the center of Williambsburg, Brooklyn. Very recommended!

Anika was very nice. She was home when I checked in and showed me how to opened the doors. The room was as shown in the photos. The bedroom is next to the street and you can hear people at night. But I zoned out noises pretty well so it didn't bothered me much. The area is really new up and coming hip place. There are plenty of restaurants near the place. Even the bus stop to flushing was only a street up. All in all, if you're traveling alone, it's a great place to stay. NYC is only a stop away. I felt pretty safe walking around late at night.

Great location in a wonderful neighbourhood and with a fast connection to Manhattan. There is also a T-Mobile store just around the corner (if you’re not from the US and need a prepaid SIM card). The apartment is just like the pictures show it. It’s a cozy and warm place (I visited in winter). A good retreat after a busy day/night in New York full of impressions and movement. Anika is a very uncomplicated and friendly host. Because of the differences in our schedules we crossed paths only a few times but she made sure that she was available via direct message if necessary.

I am friendly housemate who grew up in NYC. As a Register Nurse my schedule can be unpredictable. On my days off I enjoy exploring the cultural and social richness - museums, restaurants, live music and amazing people that this city provides both in my neighborhood and the rest of NYC.
