A colorful apartment in an equally colorful neighborhood. Williamsburg is a terrific area in Brooklyn and only a stone throw away from Manhattan and Queens. I'd love to share this wonderful neighborhood and incredible city with you.
The apartment is located off Bedford Avenue (one of the more popular streets in the area) in Prime Williamsburg.
You get a private room with lots of natural light in clean apartment. The room has a full sized bed, a dresser, a closet along with a desk and chair.
This is a laid back apartment with friendly, helpful hosts. The space is cleaned regularly and between guest(s).
You will have access to all the amenities in the apartment:
clean towels and linen
first aid kit
This is your temporary home away from home so please make yourself comfortable.
Interaction with Guests
This is my home; you will see me during your visit. I will happily show you around the neighborhood and make suggestions.
This is a really amazing, safe area in Brooklyn close to the waterfront with great energy. The neighborhood is considered very trendy with a lot of artists, musicians and unconventional types. There is a lot happening in this neighborhood - restaurants, bars, music venues, movie theaters, shopping, bike rental, grocery store, laundromat, two parks all in walking distance, etc.; you will not be bored. The guidebook is a work in progress since there are so many things to do.
The apartment itself is near three subway lines all one stop from Manhattan and several bus lines.
Taxi cabs are frequently in the neighborhood and there are two cab companies within walking distance of the apartment.
Not many rules but here they are:
No smoking inside the apartment
Please keep the common areas - living room, kitchen, bathroom clean (i.e. wash dishes after using)
Communicate the time of check-in and check out via airbnb prior to your arrival, this way arrangements can be made for key exchange.
Leave the room as clean as you found it.
Only those reserving the room are expected to stay (sleep overnight) in the apartment.
The middle shelf in the fridge is yours. The middle shelf in the medicine cabinet is also for you and the bottom shelf on the shower caddy is yours
Please remember that we have entered into a mutually beneficial arrangement. That said manners - please, thank you, excuse me and overall civilized behavior is much appreciated.
Enjoy your stay :-)
Anika was the perfect host - friendly, helpful and kind. I didn't manage to meet Brian, but I can imagine he would be just as welcoming.
The place itself is clean and tidy and is located in a great area a short subway ride to Manhattan!
The room itself is spacious and comfortable with everything you need!
Very highly recommended and would definitely stay again!
Thanks so much Anika and Brian!!
The apartment was located in the heart of Williamsburg only a few blocks away from the subway. With this apartment location you will truly get a Williamsburg experience. The apartment was spacious and you had your own room which was located on the opposite side of the other two roommates who were hardly home. Anika was a great host and she introduced you right away to the apartment, the neighborhood and was very sweet. Even letting me in and getting keys the first night was not a problem even though I flew in very late. Plus we even hung out on a couple of nights. The room was big, nice and clean. The free WiFi and the table with a very nice desk chair were great. If I was to come back I would definitely consider staying here again. It was a great experience.
Anika organized everything upon arrival. She welcomed us personally and helped us with everything we needed. She's the perfect host, thank your for everything!
It's really like written above close to it all in a great area! Me and my friend had a great time in New York with good help from Anika! If I come back I would definitely stay here again!
Anika was a great hostess for our recent stay in Brooklyn. She's a native New Yorker and was very helpful when we needed the fastest route to an event in the city. We were even welcomed with a bottle of wine and an anniversary card, a very nice touch!
Our room was spacious by New York standards and well appointed with a desk, dresser, and small empty closet. The room was very, very warm, and we actually had to run a fan and open a window to keep it comfortable. The rest of the apartment was quite comfy, with a roomy living room and separate dining area.
The North Williamsburg neighborhood is also fantastic! Lots of boutique shops and restaurants right around the corner, although the chains are starting to arrive, and a train 4 blocks away that's just one stop to Manhattan.
Great location right next to the L train/Bedford Ave!
Interesting neighborhood and lots to take in over the several days in Williamsburg. The room description is perfectly accurate and I was very grateful to have a desk, Wifi and space in the kitchen to store my groceries. My room was very cozy, I slept very well in the comfy bed and there is very little street noise, even though it's right next to busy Bedford Avenue.
Our stay with Anika was 100% the ideal AirBNB experience. She and her housemate Brian were incredibly kind and gracious hosts, they've set up the room in a way that really makes you feel at home. They went out of their way to provide us with anything we might need to make our stay more comfortable. Anika also recommended some amazing restaurants nearby. They have an absolutely lovely apartment in the heart of Williamsburg's coolest neighborhood, with two windows looking right down on the street, you will wish you lived here by the time you leave. Very close to the subway so you can be in Manhattan in minutes, but why leave Williamsburg? We certainly hope to be staying here next time we're in New York, Anika, Brian, keep up the good work!

I am friendly housemate who grew up in NYC. As a Register Nurse my schedule can be unpredictable. On my days off I enjoy exploring the cultural and social richness - museums, restaurants, live music and amazing people that this city provides both in my neighborhood and the rest of NYC.
