A note of which may or may not be of concern. Even though this is a no smoking apartment, we occasionally will smell different types of smoke fumes that come from neighbors in and next door to the building. Unfortunately, this something we don't have control over, even with the no smoking laws and restrictions in SF. So, if you are extremely sensitive and or allergic to smoke, this is probably not the right fit.

I don't have too much to judge it by, since this was my first airbnb experience, but I thought it was great! The room (and apartment) are tasteful but quirky, and stocked with everything I needed. And Denise and her roommate are wonderful! She was full of advice for where to go to eat/enjoy the sun/how to get around/etc and when I came down with a cold, Denise even helped take care of me a little bit! As Denise says, the room can get a bit cold, but we didn't have any trouble mitigating it--between the fireplace, a space heater, and lots of blankets I sometimes found myself too hot.
I have stayed in many places with Air Bnb and always had good experiences but staying with Denise was the best one ! She did everything to make me feel at home in her beautiful flat. The room is really comfortable and the decoration is charming. The location is ideal : in the center of the most exciting place in San Francisco. Very close to Dolores Park and Valencia Street. Denise is an amazing artist and such an interesting person. She showed me the best places in the neighbourhood. I was really sad to leave. I totally recommand this place !
I had a great stay at Denise's among her fabulously eclectic collection of furnishings and objects. The room was comfortable and it felt like I was in a special part of San Francisco. Denise was very welcoming and helpful. Her place was integral to my great time in her city.
Denise was extremely helpful and friendly and the flat is really nice. Also, the location is perfect. Definitely a good place to stay!
Such a fabulous place and Denise is the consummate hostess! Fresh fruit, great Kombucha, conversation & the lodging was very comfortable!
My boyfriend and I had a great time in SF while we stayed with Denise. Even before we arrived she was super quick to answer any questions via email that I had and "knowing" someone in a city that I was unfamiliar with was a huge perk. When we arrived she took time to make us feel comfortable by showing us around her space and helping us to plan out the logistics for our days in the city. I have only good things to say - she's super accepting, generous (which is awesome because she makes great kombucha), she gives you your space, but she is also great for a smile and conversation. Another nice thing about where her home is located is its proximity to good food and BART. If I could go back to SF tomorrow I would definitely stay with Denise again!
I had an awesome stay at Denise's place. The room was very spacious, comfortable and very well decorated. Denise received me with some snacks, and even turned on the fireplace one night. She is cool and it is really nice talking to her. I loved the neighborhood as well, full of restaurants, bars and really cool graffiti. I highly recommend staying at her place!
Hi All, I totally recommend Denise place! The apartment is very big. It looks more beautiful than in the pictures! :)
Denise's touch for art makes it unique!
The bedroom you're going to stay as the bathroom and all the other rooms are perfectly cleaned and look very nice.
Denise is very helpful with everything you're going to need and she's a great owner. Don't miss the roof upstairs! You'll have a great view of the city.
The apartment is located in Mission, a very good point to start visit the city. Visit and enjoy your stay!
We had an amazing time in San Francisco and a delightful time staying at Denise's apartment. She was incredibly accommodating and friendly, and helped us out navigating the city. She even introduced us to her homemade kombucha! Her place was clean and comfortable, and very cozy considering the cold outside.
Denise was wonderful, as was her home. She shared bar tips, homemade salad dressing, kombucha, and even some dance moves! The room was super cozy and the area couldn't have been better- right in the heart of the mission. Plenty of restaurants and bars to check out with lots going on, but the room was surprisingly quiet. Would definitely come back and stay with Denise again next time I'm in San Fran. Thanks for making our trip that much more enjoyable!
