Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • Neil's cabin is fantastic. It is very spacious and private. Overall, the cabin was clean (there was a wee but of mildew in the bathroom, but that is normal). The neighborhood is very nice. It's outside of the touristy areas, but easy to get there on the tram, which is close by. There are many restaurants and cafés, as well as a grocery store, within short walking distance. In hindsight, we should have rented bikes from Neil for €5, which is a better price than any you'll probably find in the city. Although the oven can't be used, there is a refrigerator and electric kettle.
Neil was very friendly. He shared a little about his experience working as an Scottish expat in Amsterdam, and was very easy to work with when deciding check-in and check-out times. He was quick to respond to my email inquiries about the place before booking, and have great directions from the airport to his apartment.
We had such a great time at Neil's that we went back to Amsterdam a few days later (although Neil was booked and we had to stay at a lesser place).

  • My time in Amsterdam at Neil's was great!! He is a great host, helped me to get around the city and the house is very well located and they have everything you need to make your stay as if you where at home! If you ever go to Amsterdam, you should stay with Neil.

  • We had a great stay at Neil's apartment. The place is very clean and spacious. Neil and his girlfriend are really nice and very helpful. Neil has a couple of bikes available for rent, which was very convenient and it's the way to get around Amsterdam. We would definitely be returning when we come back to Amsterdam.

  • The stay at Neil´s appartement was really nice, he and his girlfriend are really kind and always ready to make your stay pleasant and have nice tips for Amsterdam.
Also it´s really central only like 15-20 minutes away from the city center which also has the advantage that it is quiet at night. The small house itself is cosy and nice for a weekend trip.

  • Its a great location for everyone who wants to visit Amsterdam for a couple of days. • We had a great time at Neil's apartment, it is very clean and confortable. Very good and calm neighborhood. Some great bars, cafes and restaurants nearby. Neil and his girlfriend were very nice and friendly. He was allways ready to answer our questions by email. I recomend this place for sure!

  • The cabin was very cosy indeed! Nice and close to everything you would want to see, I believe it took about 35min to walk to Jordaan. Neil was a very friendly and helpful host, we would stay again.

  • Neil was such a great host. He was extremely helpful and friendly. He answered everything we asked quickly and everything about our arrival was very smooth. Cabin was cozy and the location great. You can walk from here to the center of the city or rent a bike so that way you save money. You find shops, restaurants or supermarkets in the area and much more. We strongly recommend to stay at Neil's cabin! You'll love it! We did and we were so sad about leaving!
