Great location

This was the original post office for the town and it closed down in the 1990s. I have completely renovated it into a tiny guest house. There is no running water, however there is an outhouse for a more authentic ghost town experience :)
Mail still gets delivered to the p.o. boxes so please do not park in front of them.
There is a fire pit, A/C, wifi and scenic views all around. Plenty of wildlife, lots of migrating birds. Guaranteed no loud neighbors but 45 minutes away from arches and moab.

The post office is very rustic if you're looking for an escape. It was small for the two of us but we made it work :)

The stars are brilliant and bright. If you're looking for a remote destination, this is it for sure, but you will have airbnb neighbors. They've put a lot of character into the design and it was a trip. It can be difficult to find after dark with GPS. Fortunately its not a…

You get to stay in a place and participate in a dialogue with a former town and current work of art years in the making. Worth the price of admission. It’s an unsealed cabin, but we had no problems with insects during our stay. It was a wonderful experience and I’m glad we took…

I'm working on restoring the existing structures and will be building experimental housing using mostly found materials. Currently I live in a 1950s airstream and am working on the log cabin that was built in 1932. I have a black lab mix named Cairo who is very friendly and gets…
