Let my house be your home away from home. A quiet environment in an old school Vegas neighborhood, this is a great spot for business travelers, students, and those who want to experience a friendlier, cozier side of Sin City.
You get one cozy bedroom in a three bedroom vintage Vegas Cinderella house. It's safe, secure, and clean--professional cleaning happens every week. The home has super ultra fast wireless internet and a printer you can use. And there are several snacks, quick DIY breakfast items, and beverages here for your consumption.
Your room has a queen-sized bed for up to two guests, and there's a second guest room that may be occupied by someone else from Airbnb or by one of my friends or family members.
You have your own mini-fridge, but you have access to the kitchen with pots, pans, utensils, and and those tasty eats and drinks I mentioned. There is a shared bathroom with basic toiletries, a hair dryer, and more. You are welcome to use the washer and dryer in the garage--no bleach please. There is also a backyard with a patio and a hammock for your enjoyment, and you can even snag some herbs or fruits and veggies (if anything is ripe and ready during your stay). Feel free to hang out in the living room, dining room, patio, or any other common area, and please enjoy the fireplace or outdoor fire pit/pizza oven.
If you are traveling with a bike or other sporting goods, we can stash them in the garage or the backyard.
Interaction with Guests
I live here, so I may be around, and you may meet someone who's staying in the other guest room. I am pretty busy, but I'm more than happy to assist you with area information, directions, recommendations, and so on--just ask. But I travel often too; I'll let you know if I won't be around. And if I have company, you are welcome to join us for dinner or drinks.
The Huntridge Neighborhod has a lot of character and is home to some of the city's older and more unique homes. This particular area is a quiet neighborhood with many families--some nearby areas may be a bit rowdier. I think this is an ideal spot for people wanting a locals-style Vegas experience.
There are bus lines nearby on Eastern Avenue, on Charleston, and on Sahara. And the house is about 20 minutes to the airport and 15 minutes or less by car to the strip, downtown, the convention center, and UNLV. There is ample street parking, and you may be able to park in the driveway too. FYI: Getting around Vegas from here--or most anywhere else in Vegas--is generally speaking easiest with your own vehicle (or a lot of patience).
Other Things to Note
Note: I had a cat, but someone left a door open, and we've yet to find him. That being said, there may or may not be a cat here during your stay. If there is--don't let him out. Either way, if you have severe cat allergies, you may still feel him around.
The house is a pretty quiet, adult environment--all guests should be over 18. Any overnight guests not on the initial reservation may be okay--just ask me first--and an additional fee may be requested. Please be respectful of the neighbors if outside, and please try to keep it down in the house between 11PM and 8AM. No pets other than the one already here are allowed. Smoking is not permitted in the home, but allowed outside in the back yard away from any open doors or windows--some sort of ashtray or other receptacle must be used. Use of the kitchen is allowed and encouraged, but you must clean up that area when you're done. When leaving the house, lock up exterior doors. Also, we recycle :)
Thanks Julie giving us such and amazing airbnb experience, we had lived in her place for 3 nights and we feel so comfortable to live in this place. It's not far to the strip and also equipped all of the essential things you need. Julie is a very nice host! Willing to chatting with us and her place is cute and clean. We will definitely come back again!
We had a really nice time at Julie's Place, the house and the room were super nice and Julie and her boyfriend made us feel welcome. Even when We spontaneously changed our Travel Dates, she was very flexible about it. The House is located very close to the Strip, only about 10 minutes by Car. There is really nothing to complain about and If I came back to Vegas, I would Love to stay at Julie's again!
Julie welcomed me whole heartedly and included me into her cool house and life. She had a pizza party using her backyard pizza oven when I got there. She had lots going on the week I was there and didn't hesitate to include me. The house and room were comfortable and with the bus reasonably convenient.
Julie is an amazing host. I stayed with her for a month and she made me feel at home. The room was comfortable and had plenty of space for my things. The bathroom was clean and everything worked great. She had extra toiletries if I forgot anything. She also has an amazing kitchen which saved me a lot of money.
My favorite part of staying with Julie was hanging out with her- she was so accommodating and nice, plus interesting to talk with. I had my car with me so it was easy to get around town. There were lots of nearby amenities so the location is nice. Staying here was a good experience.
Julie was very accommodating and her place has a nice aesthetic. The home is spacious, open, and sunny, and always clean. The kitchen was a pleasure to use, and everything generally went very smoothly; nay, I would say it was downright enjoyable. Thank you Julie!

Higly recommend ! I m already exiting and impatient to come back !
As first-timers, we had no idea what to expect, but since we were out there looking at houses, it made since to give AirBnB a shot.
Julie's home was the perfect answer! It was cozy, adorable and Julie made sure our every need was attended to. Her witty sense of humor made it all the more enjoyable! We can't wait to stay again!

I'm originally from Milwaukee, WI, USA, but I presently reside in a Cinderella ranch in the Huntridge neighborhood of Las Vegas, NV. I own a small marketing business which lets me work from anywhere, which is great because I like seeing, doing, and meeting new people. I dig travel, road trips, good food, and good company. I love to entertain, so if you are staying with me for a week or more, you probably will be here for a small cocktail party or dinner.
