Our stay at Tara's place was great. We enjoyed every second we spent there. The estate is beautiful, reflecting all the charm of the Irish countryside. Tara was really welcoming and made us feel like we were home. It was an extremely authentic and relaxing experience.
Tara was a wonderful host and made my stay all the more enjoyable for this and could not have been more helpful. It felt as though I were visiting a friend. House is in a beautiful setting and it was a pleasure to wander around the area despite mixed weather.
We were made to feel very welcome, almost part of the family and the whole stay was very relaxed. Breakfasts cooked on the Aga in the farmhouse kitchen were great and nothing was too much trouble. Millpond is a very special place in a beautiful, rural setting and we will definitely be keeping in touch with our lovely, entertaining host.
My partner and myself spent one night at Millpond while attending a friend's wedding at Durrow Castle. Tara went out of her way to make us feel welcome and to help us reach the wedding in good time. The accommodation is great and the location is really wonderful. It contributed to a great weekend.
My girlfriend Heather and I stayed at Tara's home for 3 nights, and it was amazing. The property is large and beautiful, there are horses, and Tara has three very fun dogs. We stayed in the coach house, which has it's own bathroom, kitchenette, TV, dining area, and separate bedroom. The room was very nice. One of the mornings of our stay, Tara cooked us breakfast and ate with us. She had a lot of great recommendations for places to visit, and is a very funny and kind lady. Of all of the places that we visited and things that we did on our trip, this was the one place that we wanted to return to the most. It was a very relaxing few days feeding the horses, playing with the dogs, and exploring the beautiful countryside and towns that surround the property.
A very short one-night stay as we were attending a wedding in Castle Durrow. Enjoyed being in the countryside and being able to go for a lovely little walk up and down the country road beside the house the morning after the wedding. We had a relaxed breakfast in the sunny kitchen with the very welcoming host Tara. Great for Castle Durrow weddings. The taxi home was E10.

About the Host, Tara
I moved here with my husband Anthony in 2008 after we had spent quite a lot of time travelling for his career in sailing Stars, and now we live here with our children, dogs and horses we work from home and have been restoring the mill and outbuildings , - we live in the main house and offer any guest as much privacy as they would like - but also like to welcome guests as family.
We both have a great interest in cooking & food, have a thriving vegetable garden and aim to provide most of our vegetables from it; we love sports in general, rugby sailing polo and hunting in particular, and would be described as people people !!
