A quiet corner of hidden Ireland,in the middle of Ireland's Ancient East we are generally off the beaten tourist track, however only 30 minutes from Kilkenny, Portlaoise and close to Cashel and Roscrea and locally have lots to offer in terms of cycle tracks, pony treks, canoeing and other country sports.
Transport is needed to get around - but we are five minutes from Durrow and Abbeyliex and 1/2 hour from Kilkenny; Portlaois and Thurles
Other things to note
We have great space to garage motor bikes and facilities for pannier storage and hoses etc. We also have stables and paddocks and which are available on prior request
No smoking indoors please
I moved here with my husband Anthony in 2008 after we had spent quite a lot of time travelling for his career in sailing Stars, and now live here with our children, dogs and horses working from home and have been restoring the mill and outbuildings , - I live in the main house and offer any guest as much privacy as they would like - but also like to welcome guests as family.
We both have a great interest in cooking & food, have a thriving vegetable garden and aim to provide most of our vegetables from it; we love sports in general, rugby sailing polo and hunting in particular, and would be described as people people !!
