Stayed at this apartment for 3nights, Hosts met us and were very nice. I had messaged him before our arrival as I had read another review about bedrooms, as it states 3 bedrooms unfortunately it is 2 bedrooms and the lounge can be used as a third bedroom with 2 bed settees. The hot water only last for one shower then you have to wait half an hour for the water to heat up ! We thought something was wrong with the water heater, so when we text to say this his answer was that girls spend too long in the shower !! Thank goodness there was only 4 staying otherwise we would never have got out in the day !! Also a very noisy road with deliveries from 6am ever morning, unfortunately this isn't somewhere I would return to.
The host asked for additional 70 Euros upon arrival, I mean give me a break, it's nothing but a cheap scam! Look for other great places in Rome, I am sure they are aplanty.
..if to kill is an offense, for sure You will not find in the home rules. :)
There are tourist taxes, not from us but from the city. We offer our guest the service to pay for it to us, otherwise You need to go to the office before check in and pay for it. Next time You travel, check some information on (website hidden) before arrival. Thanks,
Massimiliano is very friendly and met us when we arrived in Rome. The place was spotless and fairly close to St Peters/Vatican area. The Coliseum and Roman Ruins are a bit farther out and would probably need a cab or public transportation (we cabbed it). There is a market right next to the apartment and you can get all sorts of fresh fruits, vegetables, fish and meat. We did not do any cooking as we wanted to go out and eat.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay!
The apartment we were brought to is not the same as the one advertised. There was no air-conditioning in this unit and only two standing fans in the three rooms, of which one was broken. We were a little miffed when the host was speaking pretty decent English, and then when asked if there was airconditioning as advertised in the listing, his English suddenly deteriorated and he said he didn't understand and apologized for his poor English. Well, we were too jetlagged to get into a whole argument so we just took the apartment. To note, there are only two queen beds and the rest are one single sofa bed and two sofas (which count as two beds). While it is a very basic unit, the apartment is very conveniently located near the Vatican and there is a shop selling meats and cheeses located just opposite the apartment. There were sufficient linens and towels provided for our group. The staff were prompt in responding to our prearrival queries and arranging our transport. Overall not a painful stay but could have been alot better if the listing was accurate.
We very much enjoyed staying in this lovely apartment which was very much as described, except that I was expecting 3 bedrooms when there were 2. However this was not a problem as one of us was able to sleep on the very comfortable sofa in the sitting room and there was plenty of linen. We were able to leave our suitcases in the apartment until after lunch which was really helpful. Our hosts were very accessible and accommodating. I also recommend letting them organise a car from the airport if there are more than 2 of you as it is a very good service and really reasonable. The flat was spotlessly clean and everything was new and well equipped with wi-fi, hairdryer etc. The location is especially perfect for the vatican which was literally a 10 minute walk. And the restaurant downstairs is wonderful!
This apartment was a very nice place to stay. The location was just the right distance from tourist attractions. Sometimes the walk back would feel like a trek though. There is an awesome cafe just at the main entrance to the apartment. Our host was very helpful and nice. The taxi service to the airport was awesome. When it's stated that it has 3 bedrooms it means 2 bedrooms and a living room. If you have converters, most of the sockets only take the skinny prongs. Other then that I had a great stay there.
Roma was magnificent as you would expect.
The apartment is in a fantastic location very close to San Pieto, Vatican City and the San Pietro train station.
The best way to see Roma is to walk. The Colesseum is a distance and on a hot day I would take the bus. The bus stops are across the
road from the apartment.
The apartment has air conditioning which is an extra cost but if you are staying in summer I would definitely take it.
Massimiliano was a wonderful host, met us at the apartment and gave us a run down on the apartment and the surrounding area.
