The Space

Azienda Agraria Caimeli is an 18th century olive plantation with a manor house and a guest house located on a 16ha. within a government protected preserve. The manor house/villa has been restored yet has kept its original architecture and decor with all the modern necessities. There is also a Yoga studio of 65 sq. meter located next to the swimming pool which is rented out separately for euro 500.00/week. The infinity swimming pool is 17m x 4m and is 1.4m in depth. All of this is surroundedby olive, nut and cherry trees in the green hills of Umbria.
There is also a biological garden for fresh vegetables and herbs for your use picked thrice weekly by our caretaker.
There are horses on the property which we use for agricultural purposes. If you wish to horseback ride then we can make an appointment with a riding stables for you.
You may also have use of our film library so you can just look at our selection and ask the housekeeper for the film you desire.
We also have both fiction and non-fiction for your perusal and enjoyment. and we only ask that you either return this book or leave another one for our guests to also enjoy.

  • We had an amazing time at Villa Caimeli! Pictures are accurate: it is truly a hidden paradise! James was a wonderful host as well, giving us tips and recos, always answering our questions very promptly and generally making sure we have a nice stay. We also very much appreciated the bottles of wine on arrival and barbecue on our last day. We didn't have enough and will definitely go back again.

  • We spent our holiday in the main Villa and the place is really amazing. The cooking facilities and the outside lounge area are phenomenal. The villa is very spacious, cozy and fully equipped for a relaxing stay. The huge infinity swimming pool with it's beautiful view of the Umbrian hills and olive yards was definitely our favorite place to be. The pool was cleaned every day.
We enjoyed fresh vegetables each day from the vegetable garden.
The villa Caimeli is nearby a couple of very charming medieval towns definitely worth visiting.
If you are looking for a peaceful and tranquil time away it is a perfect choice.
James was very helpful and very prompt with his replies if we had any questions. Everything was well organised and ran smoothly. Thank you very much for our beautiful vacation and we will certainly come back.

Olive Oil Producer and Purveyor of Fresh Truffles and other products from Umbria
I have two kids and an overweight Labrardor that just loves to eat pasta. We love to have guests from all over the world and are very excited to show them our small little corner of it- from the culture to the food to the Sagrantino wine.. Everything that Umbria can offer and even parts of the Marche and Tuscany which border us. We are a well-travelled family and I have lived in both Asia and the USA before settling here. I am a purveyor of fresh truffles, olive oil, aceto balsamico and wine into Germany when I am not doing yoga, cycling, cooking, swimming, scuba diving, sightseeing or reading
