  • Brian and Holly are the perfect B&B owners! Warm, welcoming and fun! Their home has beautiful views, with tons of fruit trees and coffee plants on the property. The breakfast Holly made for us both days was delicious and we really enjoyed their company as well. Not to mention their two awesome dogs and kitties. We would 100% stay again and hopefully bring more friends and family next time!

  • We enjoyed our stay! Brian and Holly were nice and helpful people. I really liked the location because we were near some cool spots to snorkel. It's a very scenic and quiet part of the island. The room is very nice, clean and fantastic ocean views from the guest house. This place is perfect and all for a reasonable price too. Many fruit trees on their property. Looking forward to stay at their guesthouse again. See more pictures on their website (website hidden)

  • My wife and I stayed in the explorer room for two nights and loved it. Holly and Brian are great hosts and though the room is described as "budget" it is extremely comfortable, bvery nicely appointed, and sizable enough for all our stuff (including cold weahter hiking gear for the Mauna Kea climb). Location is also perfect - close to Captain Cook, Kona and the sunny nothern half, close to volcanos and just high enough to be pleasantly warm but cool for sleeping at night.
    Highly recommended!

  • This BnB is an exceptional gem, well-situated in Captain Cook, above the bustle of Kona, but close to Kealakekua Bay and Honaunau Bay. Since I grew up in Hawaii, I wanted my daughter to experience these areas that are not in the typical tourist-packed downtown Kona. Brian and Holly are exceptional hosts, reminding me of the friendly Hawaiian spirit of Ohana (family). The Explorer room was perfect for my daughter and I, and was set apart from the rest of the rooms. Even though the bathroom is separate outside, we did not feel inconvenienced at all. I hope once word gets out, we'll still be able to book a room next year. We were extremely happy, especially for the reasonable price! Mahalo again Brian and Holly for making our stay memorable.

  • My husband and I stayed five nights with Brian and Holly and we loved being there. This trip was our first time away from home at Christmas and we were thrilled to arrive at a home fully decorated for the holidays...an extra special touch. The home was clean and they were most helpful as hosts. Their location is fabulous for exploring the Kona and Kohala coasts. We loved the "small town" feel of the location and especially enjoyed the convenient Ohana restaurant we could walk to every evening...fabulous food at amazing prices. This stay was at the end of our two week trip and we enjoyed being at a place with other travelers/B&B guests to share our adventures and hear about theirs. We would definitely return to the Explorer Room!

  • I stayed in the Explorer Room at the Tiki Wa Guesthouse for 3 nights. The house was beautiful and tastefully decorated with a fantastic wooden deck, perfect for viewing Kona's magnificent sunset and the ocean. The common areas in the house, including the dining area (where you have Holly's delicious breakfasts - a must!) also looks out over this view. The room itself is like a little granny flat, and is excellent value for money, with a very comfy bed and its own private bathroom, both of which are very clean and well-appointed. If you want to splurge a little, the Volcano Room has the best views and its own jacuzzi bath.

Holly and Brian were the most wonderful hosts, very accommodating to their guests, and can provide you with most things you need to explore the island, including guidebooks, boogie boards and snorkel kits. They are also very warm and friendly people so make sure to have a chat as they are definitely part of what makes Tiki Wa great! I would recommend Tiki Wa to anyone visiting the Big island.

  • We had two great nights at Holly and Brians place. The explorer room was perfect for us as a more budget option although we will be staying the larger suite next time!! Holly and Brian where great at making us feel comfortable and very welcome. They are great open people and we really enjoyed sharing a drink at the Tiki bar.

  • This was a most enjoyable visit for us. Brian was in contact with us every step of our arrival ie. he would be away for a while and advised how to enter and when he would be back, etc.
Holly makes a great breakfast ob weekends and the cofee was always ready when we wee. We learned alot about the island, about their MANY varied tree and were loaned gear we could snorkel with. The host make every attempt to insure you are comfortable and taken care of. We would stay here again in a heartbeat !
