We (my husband and I) live 30 minutes South of Seattle in a very typical and safe residential neighborhood. We are 30 minutes away from the SeaTac airport. The house is fairly large with a separate bedroom and bathroom for guests. You will have your own bedroom with a queen size bed. Your bed is extremely comfortable! WiFi is available. No pets at home, though we have a cat who lives outside. No smoking in the house. Public transportation is not the best here, so you'd be better off having a car! Or we can give you a lift to the train station where you can take a train to Seattle. There is a bus system, but it is quite slow and not too frequent. Seattle is funky and wonderful with a ton of things to do and discover. We also live just an hour away from one of the best American skiing resorts - Crystal Mt. We are kind people and welcome tired travelers! You are welcome to use our full kitchen, fridge, and laundry room. Hot organic coffee is always offered in the morning! If you want some breakfast, I will be happy to accommodate your request! We are also seriously into health and wellness, so our household equipment is available for you to use - VitaMix blender, juicers, treadmill, infra-red sauna and fresh greens from the outdoor garden! If you are into fitness, a great neighborhood gym is just 5 min away! We become friends with mostly every guest, so we are looking forward to meeting YOU!
WiFi, Laundry room, full kitchen, dedicated separate bathroom, wellness and health tools, gadgets, equipment.
Interaction with Guests
Depends on the guest, but generally we are very quiet and introverted people.
Peace and quiet.
No smoking, no pets. Please be clean. You are renting a room, not the whole house, be respectful of owners' space.
The room was nice, clean, and even had a view of from the window of city lights below. The silk bed and decorations added just a touch of opulence which was nice. Access to wireless was made easy too. Also you get your own dedicated bathroom with towels supplied. My 2 days in Auburn was a business trip helped even more by the hosts who took the time to give me good advice to time my needed commute each day get where I needed to go. They are up early so if you need any help in the morning with anything you can do so readily. I am glad I choose these hosts.
This was a great location. A peaceful neighborhood and the most pleasant of hosts. Everything was neat and clean and I felt Very safe and secure. Best part is no A/C, so they had no problem with me sleeping with the window wide open! Made it very comfortable even the night it rained. I'm always Hot, so it great to find out no A/C was no problem!!! I stayed almost a week and a half in July, so this was no small test of the hosts and accommodations. Excellent value, wonderful hosts.
This is a great location. The host are exceptionally warm and inviting. The house is very clean and neat. I liked the Irina, husband and accommodations so much I booked the rest of my trip(7days) at their home. Absolutely a great experience. Only bummer was that we didn't have more time to enjoy visiting and talking about Russia and Ukraine.
Irina wasn't there to greet us when we arrive due to scheduling conflict, but she was a wonderful wonderful host. She was friendly and gave helpful advise during our visit to Mt. Rainier. The bed and bath were clean and welcoming. My wife and I would definitely return if we are in the neighborhood.
We were very pleased with the stay at Irina's house. We had to leave early in the morning and Irina and her husband accommodated our schedule and made us coffee. We would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area.
We felt very accommodated here, as they were willing to work with our schedule. We were served a delicious breakfast of waffles one morning and pancakes the next along with superb coffee. Overall we were very satisfied!
We had a very pleasant stay! Irina was very helpful throughout the entire process. The house is lovely in a beautiful neighborhood and the room was very comfortable. I would recommend this to anyone visiting the Tacoma area!
The longer I live, the more I realize how much I love to travel! Born and raised in Russia, I lived in Britain and USA and traveled around Europe extensively. I am a wanderer, romantic, idealistic, peaceful and loving person. I have a wonderful small family with one 17 y.o. son who is my best travel buddy! I love to cook, read, learn and discover.
