My husband and I stayed in Gwen's apartment for 3 night,Gwen is so kind and so patience to give direction about how to getting to her apartment. She gave us a great welcome and information on the best places to eat and sightseeing~~
The place was very clean and bright and comfortable!
The location was perfect ! convenient to supermarket, takes about 15 mins to the train station and main street by walk....and I was very enjoy the market in the morning~~~very interesting~~~
I would recommend this place for my all friends !
Thanks for your kindness Gwen~~and miss your little cute daughter~~~
Gwen's flat was exactly as described: clean, compact and in a nice building. Convenient location to supermarket, takes about 20 mins to walk into town centre. Would definitely recommend this flat for a short stay in Nice. Thanks for all your help Gwen.
Myself and my husband stayed in Gwen's lovely apartment in Nice for 9 nights. Gwen was great at giving directions and tips about getting to her apartment. The building is a lovely typical french style house. The location was perfect -just 10 minutes from the centre of Nice yet a lovely quiet cul-de-sac. The apartment was in the attic of the house but was very bright since there were 2 Velux windows. If I was to go again I would stay 5 nights instead of 9 due to the size. We enjoyed great views of the city from here. Gwen gave us a great welcome then showed us the apartment. She had typed out plenty of information on the best places to eat and drink. There was even Tea/Coffee/Juice/Water. We didn't need to contact her for anything as she had thought of everything. The place was very clean and bed was very comfortable. We woke every morning to the smell of Orange blossoms from the Gardens below. What more could we ask. Gwen made a lovely impression on both of us. Merci Gwen
L'accueil de Gwen et de son époux ont été exceptionnels, l'appartement est fonctionnel et est très bien situé dans un quartier vivant!
Firstly, Gwen and her Husband are a wonderful and charming couple who went out of their way to make us feel welcome in Nice. We really felt welcomed here and both took a lot of time to show us maps of the city and where to find the nice markets / shops and attractions. We were even invited for a glass of wine in their home (they live two floors below) which again made the overall experience feel very personal and pleasant.
Regarding the accommodation, this small studio apartment in a converted loft space is very charming and clean. It is located about a fifteen minute walk from the centre of the Old Town and is in a suburban quarter. It is close to two tram stations so access to the city is easy.
This place is quite small, so if you are intending to stay a long time then you need to get used to ducking down underneath the sloping roof and after a few days it can feel a bit cramped. Also, if you wish to cook then it has quite limited utilities (the kitchen is more of a 'kitchenette' with just two hobs and no oven) The bathroom is also small however all is very clean and well maintained.
Overall this was a pleasant experience for us. The only thing again is if you intend to stay for a long time and eat in you may find it limiting.
We had a lovely stay in Nice at Gwen's apartment. The apartment is away from the hustle and bustle of Nice (a good night's sleep) but with a very handy tram stop close by. The bed was extremely comfortable and Gwen was very accommodating with our check-out time due to our late flight home. Thanks Gwen!
