Just 1 minute's drive from town centre and a 15-minute drive from Kerry Airport at the gateway to the scenic Ring of Kerry and Dingle. Killarney National Park is 20 minutes away on foot. The famous Aghadoe viewing point is a short walk away.
My 2 bedroomed cottage is in a great location for guests who want to immerse themselves in Killarney with all it's beauty. The National Parks, Golf & Fishing all within a stones throw.
Guests share the twin bedroom with access to the rest of the house & although the room is not en-suite there is a private bathroom downstairs, this bathroom has a bath & a hand-held shower, however, guests who do not wish to indulge or have time to take a bath may use the electric shower in my en-suite. Guests may feel free to sit in front of the fire for a read or to watch tv, you also have access to the patio & garden weather permitting.
I also welcome solo travellers like myself who may be interested in the room, just send an enquiry and I can then reply with a special offer.
A self-service continental breakfast is provided which includes:-
Tea/Coffee or Herbal Teas
Choice of Weetabix or muesli
Toast with homemade jams.
Tea/Coffee available whenever you wish.
Guests will be sharing the house with me & my dog Putu (she's under a year old, a cross between a Yorkie & Bichon & extremely friendly).
Guests with dogs are also welcome but I only have room to accommodate 1 or possibly 2 small dogs, they have to be friendly & get on with other dogs, Putu is ok as she loves all dogs & would love the company.
I interact with guests as much or as little as they want it's up to the guest really, but I love to meet new people. I'm on hand if needs be & I will provide any information needed with regards to things to do & see, of which there are plenty.
I offer a free pick-up service either from the bus or train station.
I can also pick guests up from Kerry Airport at a cost of €10.00.
My home is situated in Killarney described by many scholars throughout the centuries as "heaven's reflex". The house itself has a farm surrounding it so it's quite & if you walk 5 mins down the road you have the most amazing views of the famous Killarney mountains & lakes.
Killarney is a National Park & therefore a protected area, so as a result there are many places for hiking, (mountaineering is very big here) walking, fishing, golfing etc., and if you get bored in Killarney you are within a stone's throw to the Ring of Kerry & The Dingle Peninsula.

There is no public transport for getting around the town most visitors hire cars for convenience . Bicycles can be rented in town or close to Muckross National Park.
There are plenty of tour operators to visit the scenic spots + there are public buses between towns.
Kerry airport is 9 kms., from the house.
Water pressure here probably not as good as you're used to.............
A great host, a great house, a lovely dog! All was perfect! Olive is a nice person, funny, patient. The bedroom is very comfortable and lovely decorated. The breakfast is perfect too ! It is the best place we have ever been during our 10days trip in Ireland. Thanks again
Wow Laura what a wonderful review merci. It was an absolute pleasure hosting you & your Mum, it was more like fun than work, I totally enjoyed your stay & hope to see you again one day. I hope going back to work wasn't too painful & that your Mum got a good sleep on Monday before her night shift, regards from me. Merci Encore
The location and accommodations are perfect for someone wanting to get in and out of Killarney and the Ring of Kerry etc. The house is charming and the "guest room" is comfortable. Olive is a gracious host and very knowledgeable about the area. We were made to feel welcome and I would have no reservations recommending this to other AirBNB travelers.
