I had a really nice stay, like the other reviewers -- there's a lot of care put into making the cabin welcoming (and functional), and its location was really perfect for me. Thanks!

I really like the place and would rent again. Everything you need is there. Very convenient. I'm guessing I happened to be there at an unlucky time because the neighbor was doing some kind of maintenance and drove his loud riding lawn mower around for a few hours about 3 days in a row which got a little annoying, considering I chose the place for quiet and seclusion. I thought it would be more secluded and away from everything. But I enjoyed being close to the town of Hawi. Host made me feel welcome, was very responsive and helpful. Overall positive experience and I would rent again.

Response from Laura:
So sorry about that Quincy. It is very unusual for them to be doing that much work. Actually I came out to stay in the cabin for a week after you left and they didn't mow or Weedwack once. Just unfortunate timing for you. Please come back again!

I'm not sure I've ever slept as deep -- 12 hours in the rain -- a tiny, perfectly cozy place for those looking for simplicity, and very clean. It's clear on entering that the hosts care about their guests.

I loved this sweet little cabin in the woods. It was so cozy and I felt very safe here. Wonderful deep sleeps with just the sound of the wind and rain. It's super close to Hawi town where my friend & I had smoothies and coffee every morning at the Kohala Mill Coffee Shop. The Sushi Rock spot is great too!

We loved this little cabin so much. It was tiny, and un-fussy, but had everything we needed - nice bed, built in storage for our things, essential kitchen items, a sweet outdoor sitting area. There was an outdoor shower and a little shared bathroom in a shed located maybe 100 feet away. This was a tiny house - which we'd heard about but never stayed in, and made us want to simplify and live in such close proximity to the outdoors. Laura was a low key and pleasant host, we met her only on the last morning. It was great to have a clean, simple, inexpensive (and appropriately priced) place to stay for a few days on the north tip of the Big Island. We loved the town of Hawi, which has some nice little places to eat, a good coffee shop, a few galleries, and a grocery store, and which was maybe a mile if that from the house.
