  • Very clean, tidy efficiency-style apartment above a garage. Short, convenient (and easy-to-navigate) drive from Durango, CO sites. Kitchen had bare-bones necessities: mini-fridge, hot plate, microwave, toaster oven. TV had access to Netflix, etc. Good Wi-Fi & phone service. The host was very nice & helpful. Only drawbacks: uncomfortable couch, have to climb stairs (although this is known beforehand) so over -packers beware, and only minimal amenities (one box tissues, roll of TP, a few towels & hand-towels, single 4-piece? set of silverware & plates). Nothing at all wrong with location or host, just don't expect a lot of extras.

  • The house was very hospitable in a rural environment. Not far from several good hiking trails. Also, it is only a few miles from town. Adam was very welcoming and helped explain the house mechanics and amenities upon arrival. Late arrival was acceptable. The apartment above the garage was very clean, well equipped and spacious.

  • Great stay. Location just perfect -- 5 mins from town, remote but convenient. Very comfortable place. Hosts were wonderful with tips on nearby activities, etc. Two minor drawbacks that may not be an issue for many -- blinds don't block sun well in master bedroom and couch is uncomfortable.

  • A lovely, clean guest house about a ten minute drive (or less) from downtown Durango. Adam was very kind and available (he lives on the premises) but he didn't at all hover. It was great to have basic kitchen stuff: dishes, coffee/tea, mini-fridge, etc. so that we could buy food for snacks and breakfasts and not have to eat out every meal. I would recommend this place to anyone!

  • Close enough and far enough! The perfect Durango location! At a cafe in the middle of town in 7 minutes, and at the bottom of a great hike in 2 minutes! My son and I were going to spend our last day in the area by traveling to Mesa Verde or the 4 corners until we drove to the end of the road that leads to this house and discovered amazing trails! We decided to skip the drive and had the best time ever! In a period of two hours we had a flat trail, a steep rocky hike, a 360 degree view of the beautiful surroundings, sun, wind, rain, snow and sun again. He can't wait to move to Durango for college in the fall. This little piece of heaven was a great intro to a fab little gem of a town!

  • Coordinating with Adam was very easy and the place was convenient to town (via car) but also allowed for some elbow room. The apartment was cozy and homey with interesting decor from around the world. The only thing to be aware of is if you plan on doing a lot of cooking you may not find the hotplate/microwave/toaster oven setup will meet your needs. But as long as you're ok with that, I have no qualms recommending the place.

  • The place was clean and beautiful. It was well worth the stay. Adam was there to help us, and even was understanding when we accidentally came in on the wrong day! I am very impressed by the entire experience.
