Small Cozy Cabin just 5km from Kirkjubæjarklaustur town.

Nearly in the middle between Vik (Reynisfjara) and Jokulsarlon (Glacier lagoon)

The cabin is in a unique landscape called Pseudo Craters. "Landbrotshólar". It is a unique volcanic landform. Remote yet close to small town of Kirkjubæjarklaustur.

The space
The cabin has two bedrooms, bedroom one has two single beds and bedroom two has one queen size bed. On the loft we have a sofa bed, It is 140cm.

It has an open area with Kitchen, living room and dining area. It is about 60sq m. The cabin is simple, with nice decor. Please keep in mind that this is a cabin, in the country side far from the city. We hope that we have made it special, simple yet perfect and nice.

It has a porch and a stunning view of the Pseudo Craters all around the cabin. And Northern lights in the winter if you are lucky.

It does not have a washing machine. And it is not easy to get clothes washed in the area.

The stairs to the loft are steep, so perhaps difficult for parents with young children.

The house has High-speed Internet.

Iceland has nearly 24 hours of sunlight during summer. We have blinds in the bedrooms, but the loft and common space is bright so we suggest you bring something to cover your eyes if you plan to sleep on the loft :)

Guest access
Guests will have access to the whole house. Outside on the porch there is a barbecue grill for guests to use.

Other things to note
We would recommend the cabin for 4 adults, and 1 or 2 children. The sofa bed on the loft is quite comfortable. The stairs to the loft is quite steep, so one has to be careful when accessing the loft expecially with small children. We also have a grib in the house if needed.

The cabin is situated close to some of the wonders of Icelandic Nature, you can easily spend 3-6 days in the area. It is perfectly situated as a base for example:

Jökulsárlón (Glacier Lagoon), Feather Canyon is a spectacular canyon just a few kilometers west of Kirkubæjarklaustur.
Skaftafell in Vatnajökull National Park and
Lakagígar is a magnificent 25 km long row of crater, and endless of amazing nature. Wonderful hiking routes.
