We offer lovely Irish hospitality .A very good alternative to a hotel, or so we like to think!!
House now on sale, so now is very messy and dirty. The sheets and towels were dirty, probably used by many other people before us.
I do not recommend it at all.
We liked very much to stay at Jim´s place. Jim was very friendly and helpful, we liked his Irish humour and also his lovely little dog. :-)
He picked us up from the bus station several times which was great because otherwise we would have had to go through the darkness with all our stuff..
We can warmly recommand Jim as a host, the only thing is that you should know when the buses are going or even better: bring your own car as Galway is a bit away from Kilreakle.
Jim is a very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and beyond. He was very helpful in trying to find us information to get to Aran Islands and back. The rooms were large and airly, and the mattress was good. The house being a good way off from the main road, it was very quiet at night. With a very reasonable rate, this is a good B&B to explore the beautiful region. Jim also had a few bottled water in the fridge for us to take with us for excursion. Pitty that we did not have a longer time to explore the area more.
Our stay at Jim's was amazing; he was so welcoming and opened his home to us which was nice. The accommodation is first class; very spacious, quiet and clean.
He sent us off to the local pub where we were welcomed to join in an anniversary with Irish band and Guinness. This is a really nice stop over but also a good base to undertake trips from as it is very central. Jim showed us a little bit of middle Ireland and we are glad we crossed Jim's path. We will return. Sandra & Njoku, Brighton.
L'endroit bien qu'un peu isolé est très agréable. L'accueil est très bon comme les petits déjeuners. Le wifi était en panne mais notre hôte nous a proposé son ordinateur sans problème.
Jim is a wonderful host, ready to help people!
the house is very big and very confortable.
it was not the easiest to find, but Jim was all the time available to tell us the way.
Nice place to stay near Galway, and not far from Connemara!
Staying with Jim was great. Our trip to Ireland didn't start off to great though, we got in a car accident the first day we were there :( But Jim was great and picked my son and I up and brought us to his beautiful home. He showed us to our room and even gave Grady some toys to play with. He cooked us an amazing Irish breakfast the next day. I wish I could have that breakfast every morning!! I would recommend Jim to anyone.
Jim could not have been a better host. We thoroughly enjoyed life in small town Ireland. We went to the two pubs each night. Each had unique character. The food Jim cooked was phenomenal. I would highly recommend staying here.
