About this listing
My contemporary waterfront home is close to Jacksonville's best sights. Enjoy great sunsets 1 mile off I-95 knowing you're 5 minutes drive or less to the zoo, airport, cruise terminal, and downtown. The kitchen has just been renovated. It's awesome.
400 thread count sheets, fluffy white towels, bathroom that is cleaned daily before and during your stay, access to the living room, sun room, kitchen, deck, patio with fire pit and dock. Basic breakfast including coffee, tea, oatmeal, granola bars and cold cereal.
Main front door entry way with custom code for lock box and alarm arranged upon booking. Welcome kit, detailed directions as well as a listing of (non-sponsored) sites nearby worth checking out if you are enjoying some time off.
Interaction with Guests
As much or as little as you like. I am an unofficial ambassador of Jacksonville and happy to give tips on where to go and what to see. I've been known to cook dinner with my guests and toast marshmallows over the fire pit, but am happy to let you keep to yourself if that's your preference.
Space and privacy. The average lot size in Broward Road Estates is one acre. I have two. The big dog in the neighborhood has 10. I'm blessed to have the greatest neighbors in the world. We play poker together, watch each others pets, and bring in each others papers and trash cans when someone goes on vacation.
2 private cab companies have dispatch hubs 5 minutes away or less. Public bus service is within walking distance. Airport is 7 minutes away. Amtrak is less than 10 minutes away via MLK. Down town is 10 minutes or less.
Other Things to Note
There is a fresh fish shop 2 minutes away, and a great local butcher within 5 minutes. Plenty of take-out north and south of my house if you're hungry and don't feel like cooking. You are welcome to use the grill as long as you turn off the gas when you're done.
No smoking in the house but otherwise make yourself at home and relax. If you do smoke, pick up your butts and please don't litter. Read the few posted placards because they contain information that will maximize your comfort during your stay.
Refund Policy: Based on 3 last minute bookings made with less than 24 hours notice that were subsequently cancelled prior to check-in, I now have a $29/night no-show fee, which is less than 50% of a one night stay that I don't have to give at all. It's not fair to have me pay out of pocket to pay my service to clean the room and bath, tie up my space so nobody else can book it, and then ask for a 100% refund for you not showing up. My job as a host is to have your room ready on arrival which I always do. Your job as a guest is to keep the booking you reserve, or cancel with appropriate notice per AirBNB policy so other travellers have the chance to enjoy the room. Thank you.
A perfect, welcoming host! Beautiful accommodations and would highly recommend. Excellent communication.
I had a wonderful experience staying in Jacksonville at Vincent's lovely, peaceful, waterfront property. After a long day of travel and fun in the city I was able to take a bubble bath and then go to sleep like a baby in one of the most comfortable of beds I have ever slept in. Vincent was a perfect gentleman as a host. Overall joyful experience and I would recommend anyone visiting Jacksonville to stay with Vincent! His location is only 10 mins from the city and with Lyft or Uber taxi's it was very easy. Thanks Vincent.
Vincent was kind and welcoming. When my fiance and I wanted to go out for dinner, Vincent drove us. And when we needed a ride to our cruise ship, Vincent was more than happy to take us there. Everything was better than expected, especially the location of the house. Very private with our own little walkway to the river. We even got to see some of the tiny wildlife! (baby crabs and little lizards) I was immensely pleased with my stay, and would 100% come back again. If I had known how pleasant Vincent and his home are, I would have booked a longer stay.
I didn't meet Vincent but everything was excellently prepared. The house is amazing as the garden at the river is as well.
Everything about this place was perfect. The house was beautiful. And Vincent was very warm and friendly and helpful.
Vincent did a great job making our first Airbnb experience a good one. He is friendly, professional and very knowledgable of the area. All of his restaurant suggestions and directions were right on. He's a great host providing coffee and tea in the morning and checking on any other needs during our four night stay. The residence is exactly as described. It is located in a great neighborhood with a beautiful view of the river. It is close to the inter-state and minutes from downtown. Bedroom/bath were clean and afforded much privacy. Vincent is quite generous in allowing use of his LR/sun room as a sitting area as well as access to the kitchen. Vincent did a great job of making us comfortable and 'at home' in his residence.
Vincent is a wonderful, welcoming host. His home is interesting, serene, and comfortable. I felt safe and secure. It was a great experience being a guest in his home.
