The Space

Take time to relax in the hot tub after a bike ride through the local vineyards and apple orchards or after a 10 minute walk to the local, well reviewed Taft Street Winery for wine tasting. Make sure to take time in the evening to sit on the wraparound deck, take in the beautiful view and enjoy the sunset behind the distant hills.

Much of the house is eco-friendly, with cork floors, wool carpets, cotton bedding, and two organic mattresses.

The open kitchen is spacious, organized and filled with afternoon sunlight.

My house is a cozy, lived in space.

And because this is my family home (we live here when it's not rented), I ask only guests interested in taking care of it consider staying here. Thank you.

Guest Access

The approx 1600 sq. ft house sits on .75 acres and guests have access to the upper half of it while our neighbors enjoy the lower half.

Interaction with Guests

With advanced notice, I might need to come by to water outdoor plants, treat hot tub or grab something from the garage.

I will be meeting you to give you the key.

The Neighborhood

Some things I love about my neighborhood include the open sky, the view, the rural feel, the nearby working family farm, the apple orchards, the long narrow single lane road approaching the property. Ok, the vineyards too :)

Like our neighbors, we are on well water that although filtered can contain more minerals than city water.

Sorry, no TV

Getting around

Use of 4 bicycles included -- 2 adults and 2 kids sized

Guests can walk to the very popular Underwood and Willowood restaurants in Graton (40 minutes - some uphill). It's also a very short walk to Taft winery and a 5 minute drive to downtown Sebastopol.

  • Thank you to Denise for making our stay wonderful. Her communication was prompt and very helpful. The house was just as I expected. It provided everything we needed plus more. The location was perfect for us. Our family enjoyed the hot tub each evening after busy days. I would highly recommend Denise as a hostess and the home as a place to stay.

  • Thanks, Denise, for smooth sailing. I really appreciate you holding my booking while you had another taker. The house was lovely, and WHAT A VIEW. I was sorry we had breakfast looked after elsewhere, otherwise I would have enjoyed a few eggs from your chickens!

  • Denise was very friendly and easy to communicate with. The house was simple and homey. The fresh eggs and food that was left for us in the refrigerator were very appreciated!

  • We so enjoyed our stay at Denise's home! My parents, a friend, and I stayed here for a wine country weekend and were completely satisfied. We'd all been to Sonoma and Napa but decided to try the Dry Creek/Russian River side of Wine Country and I am SO happy we did!! Denise is lightning-fast with communication and was super accommodating about our arrival time. Sebastopol won my heart. Denise's a perfect distance from downtown Sebastopol: we were close enough that it was easy to drive in for morning coffee, but far enough in the lovely countryside that it felt like secluded get-away, surrounded by vineyards, apple trees, chickens, horses, and friendly neighbors. We didn't use the hot tub but it looked fantastic, so bring your swimsuit! Denise left fresh eggs in the fridge (DELICIOUS!), chocolate and a bottle of wine out for us, which was a sweet touch. The red couch you see in the living room is this single most comfortable piece of furniture on the planet--comfortable doesn't even describe it. To experience that couch alone is worth staying at Denise's. I got to relive my teenage years by sleeping in an incredibly cozy queen-sized loft bed. Awesome! The house is cozy and charming, indeed, but modern and kept up well. Thank you, Denise!!

  • Denise has a wonderful and cozy home. The setting is perfect - set back near some small farms on a narrow road but also only 15 minutes from downtown Sebastopol. When we weren't drinking coffee on the wrap-around deck, we used the house as a jumping off point for Russian River, the Barlow, and wine tasting. We had a great long weekend.

  • What a sweet little house. Very comfortable. Fresh eggs from the chickens out back was an especially cool attraction for our 8 year old son. And yummy to boot. Prior to arrival, Denise got back to me quite quickly whenever I had a question, which was helpful while planning our weekend.

  • Had a great stay at the house. Plenty of beds and room for our group. Had everything we needed in a nice quiet setting.

  • Our stay at Denise's place was pleasant. We were warmly welcomed with a bottle of wine and chocolates. The house was as advertised and the maintenance was good. There were a lot of board games made available to us as well as a basketball hoop in the driveway that kept our kids very busy and away from the TV. The hot tub was an added bonus. As a host, Denise was very responsive to the emails and made sure our stay was comfortable.

The neighborhood was very quiet and suited us well. Perfect place to unwind from the hustle of city life. A repeat visit is definitely in the works!!

  • I had a really lovely time at Denise's place in Sebastopol. She was an extremely attentive host, and provided us with creamer, eggs, a bar of chocolate and even a bottle of red! I felt like she was very easy to reach and accommodated me and my friends very well. I would recommend her to anyone!

  • We came to Denise's lovely house for a one night stay. It was great! The house was big enough for 7 of us. The hot tub was fun especially at night after a long day. The neighborhood is really quiet. Denise is a really caring hostess and made it very comfortable. Arrived to a bottle of champagne and very clear and easy to follow instructions. Would definitely recommend!

I have been very lucky in life, getting the chance to travel and live in dozens of international countries. Travel and really living internationally has been my truest passion besides my love of people and all their diversities. I grew up in Palo Alto, California and now have landed in the beautiful wine country of Sebastopol. I can get around with my passable Kindergarten level Spanish and I also speak a tiny bit of Bahasa Indonesian.
