Other Things to Note
We have to charge per person per night because as a beautiful working farm its costs a lot to maintain our standards. There are also lots of expenses, taxes and fees like:
Ulster County Bed Tax
gardeners- we pay living wages.
and many many other expenses that a hotel chain does not have. On the weekends Billiam and René prepare a wonderful breakfast, grow food from the farm, harvest it, set the table, cook and clean. It takes two people two hours which is four hours of work. It's all worth it though because your experience on our farm is quite unique and they enjoy meeting all of their wonderful guests.
We prefer two night minimums on weekends and three night minimums on holiday weekends.
Because of farm animals on the farm; we don't wear shoes in the house.
Please confirm via Airbnb about sleeping arrangements and available dates as we are a popular farm and book easily.
Billiam and Renee were so welcoming and lovely, I felt like I was staying with old friends! Their home is so charming - the clawfoot bathtub is super relaxing and the greenhouse is a superb way to spend the afternoon reading a book (I got a suntan in the middle of winter) and they have the two most adorable dogs - George Washington the weimaraner and Oliver the french bulldog - definitely a highlight. They are also fantastic cooks! During my stay Renee prepared homemade apple strudel and the most delicious chicken soup I've ever eaten. I will definitely be back in the Spring and will hopefully stay in the yurt when the apple trees are blossoming.
We stayed at Liberty View Farm over the 4th of July holiday weekend for 3 nights and had the most beautiful experience!!
The farm will blow all your expectations, it is a gorgeous house and garden with large apple orchards and a few lovely animals. A place for romance and relaxation, the perfect getaway from the city. Our bed was soooooo comfortable, all rooms are designed and decorated beautifully, everything is clean and fresh, and so peaceful - you hear the birds chirping in the garden. The house has an amazing outdoor shower, which was part of my favorite things about this trip. We spent some time just relaxing in the green house while it was raining, we strolled through the gardens and orchards, we enjoyed the sunshine or starry skies from the terrace behind the house. This place is a dream, and so easy to get to from the city!
Billiam and Rene are fantastic hosts. Billiam picked us up from the train station and was so warm and welcoming from the first moment we met him. He drove us to a close-by restaurant, he took us to a potluck with his friends, he invited us on his sailboat for a memorable sail on the Hudson river, and made sure we always had great activities planned and transporation organized. Rene made delicious breakfasts every morning, with fresh fruits and veggies, freshly toasted bred, delicious scrambled eggs and the best coffee! Both, Billiam and Rene are just great people with impressive life stories - we had many great conversations and after only a few days they were like long-time friends to us.
Thank you so much for this beautiful experience, we will definitely be back to Liberty View Farm!
What a wonderful home! Renee and Billiam are gracious and kind hosts. I went to relax and made some great friends. Will be back.
Had a wonderful weekend here! The farm is beautiful, the people were great, & the conversation was amazing!
Our stay at LVF was perfect - utterly restorative and genteel.
The house is beautifully appointed and the grounds are lush and extensive - wonderful to just stroll, enjoy the view and surroundings, or read peacefully in. Billam and Rene are a lovely couple and terrific hosts - a pleasure to talk with and to just be around! Echoing similar sentiments among past guests - our only regret was that we'd like to have stayed longer. The four poster bed was heaven and the silence at night was deafening (in the best way). We plan to return soon and would recommend Billiam and Rene's LVF Stay to anyone seeking an easy, restful and beautiful escape from the city.
What a marvelous time we had! Do yourself a favor and make a trip to Liberty View Farm! I can't recommend it more highly! Fabulous hosts and wonderful, warm people, I promise that you will enjoy their company and their beautiful farm. We went into New Paltz for kayaking one day, then rented bicycles and rode the rail trail the next. Delightful excursions both! The farm is easily accessible by Metro North, and Billiam & René will go above & beyond to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

My husband Rene' and I love everything about our farm and we really enjoy meeting people, making new friends and showing them around. We love growing food, cooking and eating with new friends and old. We also like sailing on our boat....
