Relax and enjoy the fresh air and silence in this cozy log cabin on 9 acres of woods. Located only 20 minutes from the Wisconsin Dells, and 20 minutes from 16,640 acre Castle Rock Lake and the Wisconsin River.

The space
The cabin is furnished with exactly what you need to have a comfortable and relaxing stay. Located on 9 acres of woods with a well maintained beautiful trail looping around the property. The home is a log cabin featuring a spacious main level living area, an upstairs / loft bedroom with one queen bed, and one main level bedroom with twin bunk beds + additional twin roll out. The living room has 2 couches (one being a full size sofa bed). Also in the living room is a TV (no cable), DVD player, and an electric fireplace (please be careful if you use it). There is One clean bathroom with a toilet, shower/ bath tub, towels, shampoo, soap, and conditioner. Kitchen has stove, microwave, pots and pans, dishes, utensils, coffee maker, filters, coffee, tea, spices, and more. Please help yourself to anything you need to use and make yourself feel at home :)

There is a handy book near the kitchen with maps and all kinds of things to do in the area. I won't be at the cabin during your stay, but am available anytime to help with questions or concerns via telephone, text, or email. Also, please note that you will be responsible for taking your recyclables and trash with you, as there’s no garbage service to the cabin. There are two dumps within 20 min. if needed. And again you will most likely be responsible for turning the main water, pump, pressure, and water heater on and off (winter only), detailed instructions will be at the cabin. Please never turn the heat off during winter. Thank you:)

Guest access
You will have access to the entire cabin, the outdoor picnic area, and use of trail through the woods. You may use the fire pit and any fallen wood you find to make a small campfire, but please call 1-888-WIS-BURN (enter Code 01 for Adams County) to make sure there are no burn restrictions for that day. The shed and garage will be off limits, and you will be asked to go in the basement to turn the water on and off upon arrival and departure (except in warmer seasons). Instructions to be delivered upon reservation, and there will also be directions in the basement when you arrive. There is no internet/ wifi, and not that great cell phone reception, but you may use the landline if needed. ATV's and dirt bikes are allowed to be rode on the property only.

Other things to note
Please be careful driving at night and during hazardous weather. The area if rural, and there are often deer on the roads. Please be mindful of neighbors, land, wildlife, and remember you’re staying in a cabin in the woods. There may be bugs. We do find ticks on ourselves sometimes in the warmer months. Make sure to check yourself and others regularly. There are mosquitoes in the warm wet months. Well behaved dogs are welcome. If you like skiing or snowboarding, Cascade Mountain and Christmas Mountain are 30-40 minutes away. Miles and miles of snow mobile trails starting right from the property. Great hiking trails too only 15-40 minutes away. Thanks for looking!

Location

Adams, Wisconsin, United States

The neighborhood is very rural/ country with many friendly folks. There are many little food/bar spots scattered throughout the area. Wisconsin river and Castle Rock lake are very close with great views and fishing (fishing license is required). Point Bluff canoeing and tubing resort is not far from cabin, just off of County Z and 82. The Wisconsin Dells has lots of fun activities/ restaurants/ water parks, and the town of Adams/ Friendship has a great grocery store. Both only a 20 minute ride. Short drive to several hiking and ATV trails. Beautiful loop trail on property through enchanted forest:)

Hi my name is Ann:) I love to travel, and have lived in three different states. My favorite region of the country is the west, especially Utah, Arizona, and Colorado. I currently live with my family in Chicago, but love traveling up to Wisconsin as often as possible. Our family enjoys the Cozy Cabin immensely and loves sharing the fun and simple pleasures with others. Some of my favorite activities are hiking, camping, doing projects and having fun with my family, reading and learning. My favorite topics include: spirituality, astrology, ancient history, survivalism, healing, travel, building things and energy efficiency. I am a very peaceful person, and love to see people happy. Being a host through airbnb has been so wonderful. Not only because it's a great community, but I love being able to share the cabin and the beautiful nature with people everywhere.
