Elies, thank you once again for sharing your home. Everything was wonderful.
Outstanding property - thanks Elies.
I'm just sorry we weren't here a few weeks later, the grounds are spectacular. Everything will be in bloom then.
And, the property is well located. Actually it was in a beautiful cul-de-sac with great access. And it was quiet.
The home was pristine, the beds comfortable, and the communication was great. The written instructions were also clear.
We will definitely check on the availability the next time we visit Palo Alto.
We had a very comfortable stay at Elies' home in Jan 2015. The home and surroundings are beautiful -- the pictures are quite accurate. We didn't meet Elies and he seems quite busy, but he came through when we needed a few things. Definitely recommend this place, we would stay here again ourselves.
We checked in just after the holidays and had a few bumps with them coming back in town, like not knowing when to get the keys and the heat not working for the first night there. (Palo Alto, surprisingly cold at night in January!)
Elias was great at getting the heat situation resolved and made up for the check-in issues. Overall the house was very clean, had a beautiful yard, a pampering steam shower, and all the amenities needed. Still wish I'd had time to have a meal out in the beautiful dining room. Maybe next time!
Beautiful house, great neighborhood. Very supportive hosts about anything about the house. Strongly recommended.
The location was truly enchanting as described and although the house had some maintenance issues (no hot water at the casita and no ability to control the heat in the main house during a cold spell), it was nevertheless a great place to be with friends for 4 days over a special holiday celebration. It was also priced right for the trade off of stellar setting vs deferred (website hidden) feeling welcomed, Elies did not respond to multiple messages for check-in details the week preceding our trip or at the time we arrived. There was arrival distress over that as we had 5 people flying in from WA & TX to celebrate Christmas and were new to Airbnb. We "checked-in" by simply going to the house and getting keys from the maids. He was very communicative though on our departure day, sending a text and email asking what time we'd be leaving.
We had a wonderful time and loved being in such a nice Palo Alto neighborhood but we were cold most of the time--freezing on the last day (56 degrees inside the house) while trying to get ready to depart.
I apologize that your experience at our home was not great and that we didn't assit you properly during your checkin. We where in Spain for Christmas week and forgot to add our spanish phone number in our Airbnb settings. We where always connected to the Airbnb app and able to reply to messages sent via Airbnb. We had our maid service taking care of the Airbnb while we where away.
Regarding the heat issues, we where notified about the issues on the last morning of your stay. We discovered that the heating furnace had a faulty main board that was preventing it from working properly. We have replaced the part and fixed the heating in the main house. Everything is working correctly. I apologize for not being able to fix it during your stay.
I hope you can consider staying with us again in the future and allow us to offer you the our house and service at it's best.
Thank you for staying in our home,
Elies's house is very good! In PaloAlto, the charming scenery, convenient traffic and special. We have two beautiful days spent in there.
