Interaction with Guests
*** The studio is attached to our home and we may be present during your stay. We do have two bubbly, small children that you may see or hear rumbling around the property. You may hear muffled, limited noise during the day as we go about our business but noise is limited. Since the studio itself is private the interaction between yourself and us is very limited.
However, we are happy to accommodate you in anyway we can. We've lived in the area for nearly ten years and are happy to share with you all our favorite places and share ideas of things to do and see in Ventura and surrounding areas.
Plenty of free street parking.
No Smoking or Drugs please. No pets, though we may make exceptions for small dogs upon approval. No candles, lanterns or open flame of any kind. Please keep outdoor noise levels low. This is a very quiet suburban neighborhood.
Quiet hours (no parties/social events) between the hours of 10:00pm and 7:00am as per the City of Ventura short term rental code .
Please no arriving back to the room after midnight.
Anna was a fantastic hostess. The house is detached from the main unit, with a private gated entrance and patio area. Very relaxing stay, only wish I had more time than a day! In addition, Anna was very accommodating when I need a few extra hours to check out. Very happy with my stay.
Anna's place is great. She has amazing attention to detail (individually wrapped soaps and bottled waters) and it is in a nice quiet neighborhood yet a close drive to downtown. It is also about a block from grocery stores and such.
Anna's studio is amazing. It is very nicely decorated. I really love the bathtub.
Thanks for the nice message and the sweets :)
Quite neighbourhood. Everything was as described.
My girlfriend and I stayed at Anna & RJ's for a weekend to see the Dallas Cowboys Training Camp in Oxnard, which was about a 10 minute drive away, the location was perfect. Anna was quick to respond to all of our messages and made for a seamless booking.
We arrived late on a Friday and were glad to see Anna had left a light on for us as well as some waters and chocolates (much needed after a long drive). The bed was comfy and the the beach breeze coming through made for an excellent nights sleep. My girlfriend is a very light sleeper so the overhead fan helped a lot, there is some occasional street traffic which is to be expected in any neighborhood.
The amenities were amazing, Anna had made sure we had plenty of coffee, tea and water and there was all the silverware/dishes we could need. The shower was HOT and even had a new bar of soap in the wrapper for us, as well as shampoo/conditioner if needed.
The location was excellent for everything we had planned, as mentioned we were a short drive to Oxnard, Santa Barbara was a 35 minute drive and it was only a few miles to the downtown area. We briefly met RJ & their two two boys, they were extremely friendly and RJ even suggested a few spots we could visit during our stay.
Anna's place was great for everything we needed, we felt like we had a private space and all the luxuries we could want/need. It was a spot we could have easily stayed for a week or month and seen the area even more. Huge thanks to Anna & RJ for making a great spot for us to feel welcome.
Gorgeous place with a great location! Had a really lovely time, thank you very much!
This studio was like a home away from home. I loved this place the moment I saw it online. It is so comfy! It was everything described in the pictures and more! The neighborhood was very safe. I was staying there alone, and never felt afraid or hesitant while staying there. The studio is private and has it's own entrance. Anna and her family were on vacation but she maintained communication with me while she was gone. She texted to make sure I had everything that I needed and even let me use her beach chairs for my trips to the beautiful San Buenaventura beach (7 min away) and Santa Monica Beach (50min)!
The studio was clean, well- maintained, I did not want to leave! I stayed her for almost 3 weeks. She left plenty of towels and fresh sheets. She left a bag of Starbucks coffee for me and creamer, huge plus! I loved the peanut butter cups and we checked out her recommendations for restaurants. The Beach House on the pier was great, and we loved Lure!
Thank you Anna and RJ for making me feel so welcomed. I will definitely stay here again if I have the chance to come back to California.
About the Host, Anna
We are a young Christian family with two darling kiddos (4 and 2 years of age). My husband works and surfs everyday. I run marathons and surf as well. We love to hit the beach as much as possible. We travel and camp in our spare time in our VW Van. Cheers!
