Interaction with Guests
*** The studio is attached to our home and we may be present during your stay. We do have two bubbly, small children that you may see or hear rumbling around the property. You may hear muffled, limited noise during the day as we go about our business but noise is limited. Since the studio itself is private the interaction between yourself and us is very limited.
However, we are happy to accommodate you in anyway we can. We've lived in the area for nearly ten years and are happy to share with you all our favorite places and share ideas of things to do and see in Ventura and surrounding areas.
Plenty of free street parking.
No Smoking or Drugs please. No pets, though we may make exceptions for small dogs upon approval. No candles, lanterns or open flame of any kind. Please keep outdoor noise levels low. This is a very quiet suburban neighborhood.
Quiet hours (no parties/social events) between the hours of 10:00pm and 7:00am as per the City of Ventura short term rental code .
Please no arriving back to the room after midnight.
Anna made us feel welcome, and we appreciated the bottled water and snacks! This is a quite large space for a studio, since the kitchen is in a separate space from the bedroom. There is also an outdoor patio for use.
The location is in a residential neighborhood but the unit is quite close to the street, and the traffic noise was pretty noticeable, probably because we were there on a weekday morning when folks drive to work.
My stay was a nice, pleasant stay. We only stayed one night, but it was still a nice experience.
Anna and RJ's place is absolutely wonderful. The studio is cute, clean, and very well maintained. I wish we could have stayed longer, but I know where I'll be staying if I'm ever back in Ventura!
We had a great time in this cozy bungalow. My wife and I were looking for a quick getaway vacation with our little 5-year old, and this place was just about perfect for us. The three of us were able to all fit comfortably on the queen bed, but if you have a third person older than five you might want to find a bigger space. Anna was very nice and friendly, and we enjoyed the fridge stocked with bottles of water and the delicious peanut-butter cups on the desk. The place was very clean and fun to relax in. Thanks Anna!
Anna's studio was exactly what we were looking for. Clean, private, warm and inviting. We arrived to a very nice note and some tasty candies. Entry was through two gates with a private courtyard that worked perfectly for keeping our surfboards safe. Location is ideal. Would absolutely recommend. Thanks for a great place!
Anna made us feel welcome by leaving a handwritten greeting and local food recommendations along with their contact information. Also a nice touch... some candies and bottled water. The experience was exactly like what was shown in the pictures, and the bed was very comfortable. Using a claw-foot tub was pretty nice; just remember that there's a big step into and out of it! The kitchenette had some great features, though we weren't there long enough to use them. Everything was clean and quiet...overall a great experience for a pair of travelers!
LOVED this place! I had just returned from living in Asia that very day and had to head to Ventura for a wedding. Anna made sure I had everything that I needed and asked if there was anything else that she could do to help. She left a note with a few of her family's favorite places, delicious Trader Joe's peanut butter cups, and there were plenty of bottles of water in the fridge.
The studio itself has everything you could need, including an iron for my bridesmaid dress! The bed was incredibly comfortable — even if jet lag kept me tossing and turning for most of the night. Everything was spotless and clean. I would live there if I could!
The neighborhood is very quiet, and there's plenty of parking, which is a huge plus! You're not too far from anything in town, and there's certainly plenty to do in Ventura. I wasn't at the studio much because of all the wedding festivities, but it was a lovely place to come back to for the two nights that I stayed!
About the Host, Anna
We are a young Christian family with two darling kiddos (4 and 2 years of age). My husband works and surfs everyday. I run marathons and surf as well. We love to hit the beach as much as possible. We travel and camp in our spare time in our VW Van. Cheers!
