This beautifully renovated and modern cabin fit our needs perfectly from the gourmet kitchen to a great central location for our group. My husband and I travelled with our one year old and two friends during the last week of February and were not only fortunate to experience an amazing snowstorm, but we also were able to completely relax and unwind in Gail's Cabin for hours when we were not snowboarding on the mountain. Location was SO important with having an infant in tow and coordinating the group's ski schedules. Gail's cabin location was exactly as described located next to vons, restaurants, and the green line to Eagle Lodge (which was a quick 2 minute walk from the cabin). Gail's cabin/unit also sits right across from the complex hot tub which is just another nice convenience. Everything within the cabin was exactly as described and in fact, far greater than we could have even expected. Every little convenience we could think of was provided from soy sauce bowls, full bar essentials like a shaker, wine and cocktail glasses, to extra lighters, fire starters and tons of wood for the fire, and all the lovely toiletries like towels, hair dryers, q-tips and soaps you would find analogous to a high-end hotel stay. This attention to detail made the whole experience so seamless and easy for us. Our two friends stayed up in the loft and mentioned the beds were more than comfortable and the convenience of the bathroom upstairs (and a separate downstairs) was perfect for sharing the loft with friends. The main bedroom downstairs had a nice ceiling fan for air circulation and a large, comfortable king size bed. We took advantage of the fully stocked kitchen and cooked in every day. We really can't say much more other than we have already started to plan our second trip and can't wait for the chance to stay here again. Thank you again, Gail. You really have created an exemplarily mountain retreat and experience that only sets our expectations with using any future airbnb rentals so high!
thank you Markala. i am so happy you enjoyed yourselves. i am not sure what was happening with the coffee maker as i haven't experienced that before. i normally use the french press or stovetop espresso machine when i am there. i will take a look at the automatic coffee maker and replace it if need be.
Gail provided excellent directions to her door steps. we shared a few laughs during our conversation which gave me a welcoming feeling from the start.
Our group (6 total) enjoyed the clean, comfy, and well decorated condo. It was spacious with an excellent layout and well equipped with every amenity one would need.
The condo was a few minutes drive to the village where theres dinning, shopping, and beautiful views of Mammoth Lake.
I highly recommend Gail's condo for anyone visiting Mammoth. she is a great host. Thank you for sharing your lovely home.
This was our third time at Gail's apartment in Mammoth. We love staying there and felt right at home. Can't wait to go back there next time we are in Mammoth.
This has been of the best air BNB experiences! Thank you Gail for opening your lovely condo to us!
This was a trip for my birthday, skiing, & just enjoying beautiful Mammoth! We have so enjoyed cooking gourmet meals in her awesome kitchen! I think we outdid ourselves this time! We have come away so rested! The condo is a pure "home away from home!" Gail, you have just been the best HOST!
A few coworkers and I had rented Gail's beautiful modern getaway. It was spacious and allowed all 6 of us to live comfortably through the weekend. Gail is very efficient and always available through contact when I had questions! Definitely a great place to stay in Mammoth!
We had an awesome time at Gail's place. Very nice mountain mid century modern feel and comfortable. Fireplace heats the entire place up nicely. We loved it and can't wait to come back.
I have been going to Mammoth for almost 20 years. I'm lucky in that I usually stay with close friends who have homes there. Occasionally I've stayed at Mammoth resorts or at the Westin. I can safely say that I have never felt so at home or so well taken of as my family and I were at Gail's absolutely perfect mountain retreat. In fact, we liked it so much that we stayed in every night but one and cooked great meals in Gail's 'cook's kitchen', played a game or watched a movie. Its plain and simple - Gail has good taste. And she is thoughtful. From the clarity and ease of her directions and communications, to the cleanliness and functionality of the home, to the personal touches everywhere, being at Gail's is like having a home away from home. My wife and daughter usually humor my love of the mountains and of Mammoth in particular, and our friends there are the main attraction, but this time we all flourished anyway because our base was so darn perfect. I cannot more highly recommend Gail's Mammoth getaway nor her generous and genuine qualities as a host. My only hesitation in doing so is that my enthusiasm may make it harder for us to book time there again, which we will certainly be doing. We got the sense from the guest book that everyone loves and takes care of the place as we did. It's part of the warm and caring spirit that Gail has created. Thank you.
i am a freelance set decorator and work on television commercials in los angeles. i adore the fresh mountain air which is why i purchased a home in mammoth lakes. in the winter, i work part time as a snowboard instructor. i love art and design which reflects in the way i live and in the way i decorated my home. i enjoy traveling, meeting new people and experiencing different cultures which is one of my favorite parts about being a host on airbnb. i am thrilled to share my mammoth experience with fellow travelers. please enjoy it as much as i do in winter and summer.
