We had a very good five night stay at Quiet Oasis - and found the location excellent, and an easy walk from the sky train. Having bikes to ride and explore Vancouver and Stanley Park was a real bonus. Peter and Robin were out of town during our visit, but they had left the kitchen well stocked up with breakfast supplies.
I booked Robin's house months ahead. Robin helped me to plan my trip and gave me a lot of traveling tips. She answered enquiries almost instantly and attended to the details we needed. No wonder she is a superhost.
The house is comfortable and the traffic is convenient. I would definitely recommend the house to my friends.
BTW, meeting another couple Robert and Mariana is a bonus. We had a good chat.
When we decided to stay at Robin's and Peter's home we expected to find nice people and a cozy and clean house. But we found much more than that. Amazing histories which made us think and become better persons. Laughters that left us more happy. Simplicity and lightness that made us feel very comfortable. Finally, we were welcomed with great care and now he have new friends. Thanks Peter and Robin!!!
Zusammenfassend: Top :-)
This was my first experience using AirBnB – and everything was great. Peter and Robin were very sweet and helpful and made everything easy for me. The house was clean and the room well prepared (the pictures are accurate). They gave me maps and suggestions on the surrounding neighborhood (many ethnics restaurants and stores, Sky Train close by). I loved exploring the city with the bicycle that was provided by Robin; it made me feel like I was a resident of Vancouver. Overall a great experience – I would highly recommend staying at their place.
When we walked the East 2nd avenue looking for host's house, Robin found us immediately and called out to us. It was the first Vancouver trip, but they were able to teach a neighboring shop and general information of Vancouver depending on our interest. About others, they contacted us kindly anytime.
Because it was written in the house manual that I could borrow a bicycle in host's house. This was very useful, and it became one of the splendid memories of this trip to have been able to perform cycling around the Stanley Park and downtown comfortably.
The room where we stayed in was not so large, but even two persons were able to stay enough comfortably.
It was good to have been able to receive gentle, kind personality and warm hospitality of Peter and Robin. In addition, I would like to meet them again if there is an opportunity to visit Vancouver near future.
This was our first time booking with Airbnb and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Robin and Peter were friendly and welcoming and their home was beautiful. We had some great conversations and they were extremely accommodating. The location was perfect--right next to Commercial Drive yet a very quiet neighbourhood. The Sky Train and buses are all within 10minutes walking distance.

About the Host, Peter & Robin
Peter was born in Montreal and I hail from Halifax, but we've lived in Vancouver for the past 25 years and raised our 3 sons here. We love travellers - perhaps because we've both lived overseas growing up. Peter is a software engineer and I am a counsellor. I think you will find us relaxed and easygoing, and our beautiful 100 year old home very comfortable.
