Arrive before dark, please!
Walk to this amazing space for two. Experience breathtaking views of mountains and stars. Reset to the sounds of nature. Catch a glimpse of wildlife like deer, moose, elk, and more. This unique space is only 30 minutes from the north entrance to Yellowstone! You will park at our ranch headquarters and walk an easy 3-5 minutes. Please note: We have awesome dogs. If you're not a dog person, this probably isn't the place for you.

The space
*Important: Arrive before dark. The tiny house has a small kitchenette with no fridge as it's an off grid unit. We're happy to lend you a cooler for your food needs. You will have to purchase ice on your way to the ranch in Emigrant or Gardiner. There is also a table with stools, a propane wall heater, a reading nook loft area, and a lovely wrap around porch to sit and enjoy your views of the landscape. There is an outdoor compostable toilet, very clean and works great. There is a bathhouse not far from the tiny house, with a hot shower, towels, etc. Nearby is also a communal fire pit with seating. Enjoy conversation with others or by yourself around the sites and sounds of a campfire. Our dogs may or may not come to your place to say hello. They are all very well behaved and sweet. If you are not a dog person, kindly tell them to "go home". We do NOT allow other pets on the ranch. We love dogs too but bringing them to our place is not a good idea due to livestock and other predators. We provide bear spray in each of our tiny homes. It's important you know how to use bear spray and not to walk around after dark.
If you're expecting a sterile and immaculate stay, this isn't the place for you. We live on a ranch, in the wilderness. Things will not be perfect, but they will be amazing. You will see from our reviews guests almost always love their stay with us and many return. That said, every space is cared for and kept clean daily.

Guest access
You'll park and walk an easy 3-5 minutes to your tiny house. Again, it's important to arrive before dark! If you can't arrive before dark, it's best to book something else. It's safest not to walk the trail at night since we are in grizzly bear country. You have access to the trail to and from your card to the tiny house. Sorry, there is no hiking on the ranch, but not to worry! There are many hiking trails around the area and not far from where you will stay.

Other things to note
1) Again, we have dogs. They're all well behaved and love people. If you're not a dog person, this may not be the right place for you. Aggie, our large, white Great Pyrenees takes her job seriously as a guard dog against large carnivores and she occasionally barks in the evening until we bring her inside for sleeping. She most likely will show up at the tiny homes for scratches and love as she adores humans. PLEASE NOTE: no other dogs are allowed in the tiny homes or on the ranch due to livestock, predators, and other liability.
2) We live in a high density grizzly bear area. Carry bear spray and know how to use it. We've thankfully never had an issue due to practicing common sense, being aware of your surroundings, and not walking around after dark.
3) This is a PARK AND WALK rental. Guests are not allowed to drive to the tiny house. Thanks! Arrive before dark. If you can't arrive before dark, it's best to book something else. Thanks!

During your stay
We are a friendly, hardworking, ranching family. We are happy to assist you with any needs, but please understand we may not be available all hours of the day/night. We are also raising two young children, so late night arrivals are challenging for us to accommodate. It's important for guests to research drive times in this area and especially through Yellowstone in order to arrive at the ranch before dark.
