This is a PRIVATE ROOM RENTAL IN A SHARED APARTMENT for $90/night.
The apartment has two bedrooms, a living room, an eat-in kitchen, and a bathroom with a shower and a tub.
It is centrally located in Williamsburg (Northside), just four blocks from the Bedford L train, which is one stop from Manhattan -- a stone's throw from McCarren Park and just a couple blocks from the Williamsburg Waterfront Park that looks on to Manhattan's skyline. Perfect for a tourist, a visiting student or professor, someone relocating to NYC, someone in-between longer-term rentals... The building is a classic, quiet brownstone surrounded by parks, cafes, restaurants, boutiques, art galleries, supermarkets, and a weekly greenmarket.
My place has 900 square feet, gorgeous hardwood floors, and it is beautifully furnished. The room I'm renting out, which is the second/spare bedroom, has a large window, hardwood floors, a brand new full-sized bed, an empty dresser for your clothes, a coat rack with hangers, and hand-painted wall mural of birds. The living room, which is shared, has a mid-century modern Danish credenza, teak and cherry wood furniture, a mod red leather couch, hardwood floors, a couple chairs, a large flat screen TV, a vintage Moroccan hanging lamp, and a large window. The eat-in kitchen (also shared!) has a large window, a full-size refrigerator, a clothes washer, lots of cabinetry and all the utensils you need to cook a meal. The bathroom is recently renovated with white tiles and a full tub w/shower.
The private bedroom is cozy, comfortable, and quiet, with access to the entire apartment, which will be shared with me (although I am hardly ever home).
Utilities include A/C and WiFi.
Truly an incredible apartment with great vibes in the heart of it all.

I had a great experience staying at Sarah's. Sarah was very hospitable and attentive to my stay. Her apartment is conveniently located, in my opinion, the best part of New York City and Brooklyn because it has everything to offer in terms of local restaurants, hip bars, small art galleries, parks, interesting people and transport into Manhattan. I also enjoyed sharing some time with Sarah. I hope to stay again some day.
Sarah was an amazing host. I spent 2 months in her cosy flat and I felt comfortable at the first second. Sarah is a very interesting person and we spent hours speaking about life and NYC. The room is practical and cute as the kitchen and the living room is definitly a place to stay relax after a long day. Thanks again Sarah! I lost a roomate but I gain a friend!
What a nice host and what a nice apartment ! If you want to escape from the noisy Manhattan, just breathe in Sarah's place. Located in the best part of Williamsburg, close to the East River State Park and the Wythe Hotel. I recommend Sarah and her apartment.
I'd absolutely recommend staying here.
The apartment itself is great - lots of character, spacious, very well maintained, and in a perfect location for exploring Williamsburg and Brooklyn (plus close to the L Subway into Manhattan).
Sarah was really friendly and helpful, providing some great tips on where to go as well as generally giving a welcoming tone to the stay.
If I come back to New York I'm going to check if this place is free, you should too!
Sarah's apartment is in a perfect location in N Williamsburg, close to the subway and all the shopping and nightlife. The apartment is very clean and nicely decorated. We only saw Sarah briefly, but she was very helpful getting the keys to us early even though she was at work.
Sarah was kind enough to have me in her lovely apartment even though I booked the day before my stay! She was super organized and text me prior to my arrival so I had assurance she'd be there to let me in. Although I was only there for two days, I really enjoyed my stay with Sarah. Not only was she very welcoming, she was also great to talk to! I would definitely stay again the next time I'm in NYC, and I would recommend Sarah and her apartment to anyone!
The location of this apartment couldn't be better, right in the heart of Williamsburg and surrounded by fantastic bars, cafes and restaurants. It's only a few blocks from the L train, so a quick ride into Manhattan, or a lovely walk in over the Williamsburg Bridge.
A wonderful host, Sarah was extremely helpful when it came to answering my multitude of questions before arrival, arranging for early check-in, providing loads of useful local knowledge and checking up on me during the hurricane to be sure all was A-ok. Sarah is easy-going and I really enjoyed getting to know her over a couple of beers and some good conversations during my month-long stay.
Sarah has gone to great lengths to make what is generally a fairly run-down apartment cosy and comfortable. The bedroom is clean and the bed comfy. I stayed during some pretty cold weather and the room was always toasty warm. There was loads of storage space for all of my stuff, which was a big plus and greatly appreciated!
Unlike the rest of the apartment, the tiny bathroom (off the kitchen) has been renovated and modernized, so the shower is excellent, great water pressure and no probs with hot water. Sarah provided a shelf for me to use, which was great and made me feel at ease in leaving my stuff in there without feeling like I was taking up space or in the way.
Overall: helpful host + great Williamsburg location = decent apartment for a short stay in NYC.
I stayed at Sarah's place for 2 days and had a great time. She is really kind and helpful: very quick in responding to emails/texts, flexible and full of tips about discovering NYC. The flat is nice and cozy with easy access to Manhattan and Williamsburg is an awesome place in it's own right. Highly recommended!
It was really nice to stay at Sarahs place in the heart of Williamsburg. She was very friendly and had great tips to explore the neighborhood. The apartment was great and had a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
I had the pleasure of staying at Sarahs for a month. The location could not have been more convenient for me to commute to the city everyday. A quick 4 minute walk and right in the heart of North Wburg with endless amounts of restaurants, bars, clothing boutiques and a great gym around the corner or the beautiful McCarren park just a few steps away. I would have stayed longer as I am here for work for 3 months or so but sadly the room was booked.
I highly recommend staying with Sarah! She is super helpful if you have any questions or need direction as to what parts of Brooklyn to visit. Thanks again Sarah. xx
