Description

The Space

This is a cosy room in a private apartment in the Hague, with its own bathroom. This is a very silent neighbourhood and you are guaranteed to sleep very well here!

The apartment is within walking distance of the historic centre and the Royal Conservatorium of Music (only a 14 min. walk!) and has very easy access to main international institutions: International Court of Justice (13 min. by bus), International Criminal Court (20 min. by bus), Europol, European Patent Office (20 m. by bus), Embassies, etc It is also close to the Shell headquarters. .

This is an en-suite room (12 sq m) with a double bed, and your own private bathroom, equipped with a deliciously hot shower, mirrors, hair drier, and basic toiletry. The bed can be separated into two single beds, so as to accommodate two people.

The lavatory_ what you would call a WC in the US_ is in the hall, but pretty private as well! (one of the reviews says that you can access it via the living room, but this is inaccurate. Like in most houses I know, the WC is accessible via the corridor!)

The apartment is spacious, airy and light, and is situated in a quiet and green part of the Hague.

You will be able to make use of the dining room and TV room. In the morning, breakfast consists of toasts, jam, coffee, tea, fruit and cereals.

There is wireless internet available.

The apartment is located:

_12 minute walk from the Central Station (1.6 KM),
_14 minute walk from the Royal Conservatory
_15 minute walk from the centre (2 KM),
_2 minute walk from the Haagse Hout (an original forested area, where the royal palace is located, less then 400 m from the apartment).

I am a young academic. I work at a big university here in The Netherlands and I love to get to know people from other countries and cultures.

Please note that if you arrive on a working day, check-in time needs to be negotiated. Generally, arrivals after 17h00 on weekdays are appreciated, but of course we can try and find alternative solutions.

Hello! I am an academic living in the beautiful city of the Hague, seat of the International Court of Justice. I have a research and teaching job at a Dutch university, which allows me plenty of flexibility and travels. I love meeting people who have something to say and stories to tell.

I like to make my guests feel at home. In some cases, this means not interfering too much and leaving plenty of space for people to do as they please. The lay-out of my apartment helps give you the feeling that you are independent to use the place as you please. However, this listing is about a shared apartment (you would not be renting the whole apartment).

This is a private apartment and I host people here for the fun of it. I am one of the old time Airbnb'ers who did it for the experience. This is not a professional bed and breakfast, just my own place that I like to share from time to time. If you are looking for a whole apartment to rent, please look further in the site. The Hague has some stunning locations!
