Interaction with Guests
I will be there to meet with my guests when they arrive and will make arrangements for key drop off when they leave.
I love the peace and calm, the mountains, the sea walking on the beach with my little dog. You could have a swim in the clear water of wine strand beach or pier every day if you wish.
I do a lot of cycling lovely way to see the area, There is a lovely village, Ballyferriter 2km away it has pubs restaurants and a Gala supermarket.
Louis Mulcahy's world famous pottery is about 6km away well worth a visit.
Blasket Island heritage center is 10km away in Duncaoin and it is possible to take a ferry out to the Blasket Island from Duncaoin.
There are many walks in the area along the beaches or the mountains.
There is a Riasc which is an early christian monastic site within 1.5km of the cottage and Gallarus Oratory is about 3km
There are horse races along Beal Ban strand every year and also in Dingle town

I cannot recommend Brenda and her beautiful house enough. We have never felt as welcome on our travels anywhere. Brenda had lit the cosy stove and baked us a selection of cakes and scones to greet us.She left a local newspaper for us so the we could familiarise ourselves with local events that were on during our stay. Our visit fell over the week of Halloween and Brenda had decorated the house with lots of Halloween things much to the delight of our boys. She even left colouring books, bubbles, glowsticks and a pumpkin for their enjoyment. Not to mention a whole cupboard full of toys and games. The kids were in their element! Brenda was very informed and helpful about local amenities and attractions. The house is very well appointed and spacious. It is located in such a fantastic spot, a tiny stroll to the nearest beach and a short drive to Dingle. There is a little enclosed garden at the front of the house perfect for small children. Everything you need is at hand at An Teach Dearg all mod cons and lots of local information. If you are planning a holiday to Dingle make sure you stay here!
Brenda is a perfect host. Mail communication beforehand was super friendly and we have had all important information before starting the journey
Arriving in Dingle, we have been welcomed with homemade bread and scones.
The house is perfect for a stay in this amazing landscape. He house is big enough for up to 8 people, there is a lot of daylight in the big living room with the open kitchen. 4 seperared bed rooms. Everything is absolutely clean and well organized. Absolutely quiet.
The beach is only 3 Minutes by footwalk and you can see the see from the attic floor. The beach is very nice and other people have been there. A lot of places are there to be explored.
A clear recommendation!!!
Would like to come back next year.
brenda was there to greet us and kindly left us some fresh home made scones and other welcome (email hidden)enda made us feel welcome straight away and gave us all the info on the area we needed.the house was spotless and provided us with the perfect base to explore dingle and beyond.would hope to return again.
Brenda and her cottage are wonderful! We loved the setting - the cottage is situated far enough away from Dingle to feel peaceful, but close enough to be convenient. It's a 5 minute walk to the beach, or even less. The TV works well, and worked perfectly to watch the World Cup. The four bedrooms are spacious, especially the master and loft rooms. The washer and dryer are a nice addition, especially for a weeklong stay.
Lovely spot and great house. Cosy and lots of nice personal touches. Brenda was very friendly and accommodating and saved us bringing a lot of baby stuff as she had bedding, high chair etc..available to us.
The cottage was the perfect setting for our Dingle area holiday. When we arrived we were greeted warmly by Brenda who had a delicious quiche and scones waiting for us and the fireplace set to light. Brenda shared many great tips for exploring the area and had local guides and maps ready.
The cottage is extremely spacious (too much for four adults) and fully equipped for all holiday needs (handy to have the washer and dryer available and we enjoyed the games as well). It also has fantastic views and a lovely little beach for swimming, exploring JUST 500m away. You can walk to the local village for a pub dinner and Dingle town is a short car ride. The area offers lots of great hikes, climbs (short drive to Mt. Brandon) and very scenic drives. We certainly used a rental car to get around but liked being able to start lovely walks right from the cottage doorstep (beautiful shoreline, Mount Eagle, an old castle, cemetery and local potters all close-by). I will certainly recommend the cottage to friends and family. Couldn't recommend the place and the host more highly! Many thanks Brenda for sharing this very special place.
We arrived at Brenda's house after a long delay in our layover to get into Shannon. Brenda was very gracious in meeting us so late at night and filling us in on the workings of the house. We very much enjoyed the scones, quiche and other goodies she left for us in the refrigerator! The hot water bottles in the beds when we got there was nice touch! Our sore bodied needed it after the long trip! Brenda was very helpful with things to see and do in the area. She exceeded what was requested and couldn't have been more accommodating! We had a fantastic trip!
