About this listing
Spacious Studio ideally located on 4th street and California Ave at the heart of Santa Monica, just 1 block from 3rd Street Promenade, 4 blocks from the beach, 2 blocks from Montana Ave, 15 min from the Pier and Main street. Beautiful residential neighborhood, very safe and quiet.
Small fully renovated 1920’s building. Hardwood floors, charming decor and granite countertops. Full kitchen with stove and refrigerator, large bathroom. The studio has a sofa, a queen-sized bed and a small desk. Free high-speed wifi. Laundry room (washer $1.25, dryer $1.25).
1-car garage parking with remote controlled door (free). IMPORTANT: The garage is pretty narrow but will fit a mid-sized vehicle. An SUV will fit (barely), but it's tricky to maneuver and get in and out of the vehicle, so I recommend getting a regular (compact or mid-size) car.
Let me know if you need more flexibility with check-in/check-out times, it's usually not a problem.
Santa Monica is a very central location if you want to visit LA, here are some indicative drive times from the studio (it could be a little longer, never know exactly with LA traffic... ;): Venice 10 min, Malibu 20 min, West Hollywood 20 min, LAX Airport 20 min, Hollywood 25 min, Downtown Los Angeles 25 min, Universal Studios 30 min, Disneyland 45 min.
TO/FROM THE AIRPORT (LAX):
Option 1) take the I-405 North, then the I-10 West to Santa Monica, exit 4th Street, turn right and continue for about 1 mile.
Option 2) take the CA-1 (Lincoln Boulevard) all the way to Santa Monica, make a left on Wilshire Blvd and a right on 4th street.
Option 1) is a little bit faster but longer (distance wise)
Duration: 25-45 min depending on traffic
About $35-40 from the airport (not including tip), some companies charge for bags. For route and duration, see above.
Outside of the Terminal, take the Lot C Shuttle (free) to the Bus Center (first stop once you leave the airport) and then take the 3 ($1) or Rapid 3 ($2). The closest stop is 4th and Wilshire Blvd (one block from the studio).
Duration: 30-45 min
There are 2 main bus systems: the Santa Monica Big Blue Buses and the LA Metro Buses

Please observe building quiet hours between 10pm and 7am
Greg è stato accogliente e gentile. Appartamento essenziale, ma pulito e funzionale. La posizione è perfetta vicinissima alla Street Promenade che si può raggiungere a piedi. Consigliato!
I stayed in this studio in Santa Monica for over a month and it was great! Not enough can be said about the location, it is ideal to take advantage of the area. I wish I could have stayed longer!
Greg was easy to communicate with and met me at the apartment. The included/protected parking spot was much appreciated. It is small, but after a little help the first time, I had no issues with my mid-size vehicle. Everything was clean, there were plenty of towels and some nicely provided snacks on arrival. The bed is very comfortable. Only drawbacks for me were that the building can be a little noisy with footsteps upstairs, and residents coming/going outside. Also, for a longer stay like mine, a TV and microwave would have been appreciated, but really not that big of a deal. The WiFi works great. All in all, I loved it and would not hesitate to recommend.
Greg was very welcoming and friendly. The studio felt more spacious than the pictures made it seem like. Also, Greg left apples, beverages and other goodies for us in the kitchen, that was so nice of him!
Oh, the garage is very small, so make sure you rent a compact - but it's still a treasure, as parking in Santa Monica can be a nightmare.
I would definitely stay at Greg's studio again!
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Greg was a wonderful and very responsive host. We had one issue in the bath room and he came over minutes after I texted him and started taking care of it immediately. The apartment is in a great location close to everything in the SaMo-area, and the private parking is definitely an asset in this neighborhood. And Greg and gmhis girlfriend definitely love being great hosts and take care of little details such as fresh apples and water. so all in all, really close to a 10 out of 10.
Nice space located within walking distance to shopping and the beach. Greg's girlfriend Sarah met us and helped me navigate my car into the garage, which was a bonus. Greg was responsive to texts and gave us lots of privacy. The apples, chips and water was a delightful touch. Thank you
Greg's place is a fantastic one in a great area close to everything . Greg's girlfriend Sarah welcomed me although it was very late in the evening and She showed me around.
It was nice touch leaving some fruits chips and beverages. I would take it again if I come to Santa Monica!!! Thank you!!!
