Interaction with Guests
As a host I will be glad to interact, answer questions, and make your stay in my home as comfortable as possible. The bathroom and kitchen will be shared with me only. I will be in and out of the house during your stay but I will always be available via my cell phone.
I love the diversity of my neighborhood, the proximity to downtown Seattle, Chinatown, Pioneer Square and the delicious Asian cuisine which I hope you will try. I feel safe during my daily walks, know most of my neighbors and have enjoyed their friendship over many years. When I come home from work I can always find a spot to park right in front of the house. Really!!
I'm a block from bus stops to downtown Seattle and 1 block from bus stops that go to the University of WA. There is also Union Station, and King Street Station., the former connects to the light rail and SEATAC airport and the latter, to Amtrak.
Other Things to Note
There are 3 different patio locations in my garden area that are lovely and available in warmer weather. On nice days you'll frequently find me gardening or just sitting enjoying the chirping of the birds! The back yard is completely enclosed with fence and bordered with bamboo. Private and secluded right in the middle of Seattle! Urban living at its best!
My overall goal is to make my guests comfortable. Rules are simple: No smoking, no shoes, in house. Smoking is permitted in the garden. Kitchen should be left as you find it, please. No pets allowed. I do have a cat who spends most of her time indoors in the winter, outside in the summer. She is not allowed in the guest room at any time.
Carol was an amazing host for my boyfriend and I. The room and bathroom were exactly as they appeared in the pictures and the backyard patio was adorable. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet and we enjoyed walking into the city at night which took about 30 minutes. Carol was very hospitable and even had a light breakfast ready for us when we woke up. She was so friendly and was great to talk to. We would definitely stay at her place again, and will recommend it for others in the future!
I had a wonderful stay with Carol. She was outgoing and easy to talk to, and had several good recommendations for places to eat/get coffee in the area. The room was clean and comfortable. A great place to stay on your way through Seattle!
Carol was a fantastic and friendly host. I found her home to be an attractive, warm, well-loved sanctuary. I wanted for nothing during my stay, and everything from arrival to departure was handled seamlessly. Carol provided very helpful tips for navigating around Seattle. She had lots of suggestions for great places to eat nearby, and her home has very convenient access to downtown Seattle, as well as the Link Light Rail.
Carol was great! She welcomed me to her house even though I didn't arrive until 8:30 PM. The bedroom and bathroom were immaculate and in good working order.
On top of that, Carol was a great person to chat with and she has a cute cat named Mimi.
In the morning she provided me toast, coffee, orange slices, yogurt and some sweets. It was a great stay for a reasonable price!
Carol was a very good host and the visit had everything I needed. The house is nice and the room is simply decorated with a very comfortable bed.
Bathroom was good and breakfast was all I needed wit fresh coffee, fruit and toast
The house is 15-20 mins from center of Seattle and easy to reach by bus (or a quick transfer from SeaTac tram).
Nearby, lots of restaurants to eat at.
Carol was a very welcoming and great conversationalist, she was very kind and offered a scarf for me to borrow for the evening (it was quite windy and cold that night). I would definitely recommend! Her house is beautiful and very clean. She made us feel right at home.
Carol met me when I checked in and was very prompt with responding to any messages I sent her. She took the time to explain the ins and outs of her house and was happy to answer any of my questions.
I'm an active, older, working RN, who has a love of gardening, travel, and spending time with friends and family. I love reading, walking, and enjoy the authentic Asian cuisines in the neighborhood. I'm happy to live in a diverse neighborhood and have great neighbors. And weather permitting, you will find me happily working in the garden. I like all kinds of music, and have an eclectic taste in most things.
I take delight in connecting with people I can feel at ease around. That said, I also cherish my privacy and independence and respect the need that others may have for the same.
I love living in my older 1900's style home, but lately I find it to be rather too big and have decided to let out one of the bedrooms.
