Interaction with Guests
Your hosts are the owners, Raul and Lupe. They are immediately next door at Calle Allende, No. 16
Colonia Caracol is a wonderful mixed neighbourhood (Canadians, Americans and San Miguelienses) full of retired and working people. It is located at the top of Cinco de Mayo which to a very slight left becomes Allende. Callejon de la Palma is located from the top at Calle Allende 16 or from the bottom at Prolongacion de la Aldama. There are TWO callejons de la Palma. This one is on the left as you drive down Allende.
Taxis are abundant in San Miguel and cost about $2.50US or 35 pesos. We usually just walk out to the corner of Cinco de Mayo, Prolongation de la Aldama and Allende and watch for a taxi. You can call one to pick you up from the house for $50 pesos.
From the Leon airport, take a shuttle with Bajiogo. Prices are reasonable and they will take you straight to your door.

THANK YOU ☺
We loved the house, the neighbourhood and the people who take care of Darlene's house! I had a chance to practise my Spanish although Raul speaks good Enlgish too. The view IS stunning and you get to hear the local band practising in the evenings as the sun sets over the hills.
Wonderful place and a quick 10 minute walk to the town square. By the time we left me and both other guests were talking about how much we loved the house and planning when we'd be back. Now that's an endorsement :)
Es una casa muy linda que complementa el ambiente que se vive en general en todo San Miguel de Allende.
About the Host, Darlene
My husband and I live in North Vancouver, BC. We vacation in San Miguel and want to retire there. I am a teacher of ESL and my husband is an artist. We met a lovely couple in San Miguel years ago that are our good friends now. Raul and Guadalupe are retired English and Spanish teachers. They have a beautiful two bedroom penthouse and a two bedroom house that we help rent. We love both places and stay in the house whenever we are in San Miguel.
