Our private home is located on the Southern Outer Banks nestled in trees overlooking the ocean in Pine Knoll Shores, NC. It has convenient beach access, the third level deck has outstanding sights and sounds of the beach. Contact owner for pricing.
There are two structures to this home - the main house with 3 bedrooms with 1.5 baths and 3 levels of decks and a deck connected Studio over the garage with bunks, sleeper sofa, extra mattress and a full bath. It is great to give the kids the studio while the adults relax in the main house :-)
You will not have access to the garage. This is the owners storage space.
Interaction with Guests
It is best to talk to me about rates. We rent with peak summer rates and off peak rates. Please goto www ShorelineAndSunshine com (replace spaces with a period) to see more details and our rate structure. I will negotiate longer term rentals if you like.
This home is on one of the few beach front road neighborhoods on the Island. This is a very private neighborhood with beach access about 6 driveways down the street - there are no cross roads so it is very safe. The home is surrounded by Oak trees giving you the feeling you are in a tree house.
You will need a car. Shopping and restaurants are about 4 miles away.
Other Things to Note
Enjoy the new Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium which is only 1 mile away! Also, take a historical tour of the Civil War site at Fort Macon State Park just down 6 miles down the road. Our favorite walk on the beach is 2 miles to the Hilton fishing peer.
House rules are posted and provided in our contract. No smoking in the home and follow departure instructions to the next renter has a great experience.
We loved staying at Rich's place! Our family has a wonderful time and the place is exactly as pictured / what we paid for. Access to the beach was very close, the area is gorgeous, and the linen service was very convenient. Rich was very friendly and provided multiple recommendations for around the area as well. Hope to be back next year!
Visiting from Germany (REALLY far away) and after one week of slowly moving south from Wash. DC we arrived at Pine Knoll Shores on Labor Day Sunday.
We were welcomed by our host Rich personally, which gave us a feeling of having reached safe haven right from the start.
Labor Day run fading, we had a wonderful week with the beach mostly to ourselves (except the occasional dog walker).
The multiple levels/deck structure of the house provided enough privacy for a parent couple with boys 13 and 16.
We visited Ft. Macon and spent hours of sea shell harvesting at the wide beaches at its public beach access (website hidden) Aquarium less than a mile from the house was an interesting all family event. The highlight of course was the shore. Beach done we enjoyed strolling the one or other gift shop and loved it.
The house has always been a home rather than a rental to us, everything was very cosy and functional the same.
The pictures provided at Airbnb really show how it looks like there, no fakes!
Allover rating host, accommodation, things to do is five stars (+).
Traveling from Europe we probably won't be around shortly ...
So YOU rent and love it, no regrets guaranteed.
We have had great experiences with AIR B&B and this was no exception. The home near the water was perfect for the six adults that stayed there. It was perfectly described by the owner online and with emails. The linen service was beyound compare as was the proximity to the water and restaurants. We would give this location and its host an A in all categories.
